ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 13, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 13, 2017 The best song of 1997, Lollipop (Candyman) better be top 5!
TheWayWeWere Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Lovefool love it from Cruel Intentions All Saints making your list they slayed so much with first two albums Say What You Want original version is so much better than remix one
Red Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Honestly, I can't believe I'm saying this...but I kind of disagree with you on a Shawn Mendes song being one of the worst of the year. "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back" isn't a masterpiece, but it's easily the best song he's ever been a part of, even if it's nowhere near my Top 100. I don't have any disagreements as far as your other choices are concerned, though. "No Diggity" and "Your Woman" are lower than I expected, but 1997 is a tough year to rank because of how good it is at the top.
305 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Don't Wanna Know is literal trash I cannot believe M5 could make such a thing I can understand not liking Bodak Yellow (even though I love it) but SNS?! Such a bop!
KillingYourCareer Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Three trash songs and two bops (SNS, TNHMB) in that worst of list. But you included Bodak Puke so you're right.
KillingYourCareer Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I Know Where It's At by All Saints better be included in this throwback list along with Wishing I Was There by Natalie Imbruglia.
Tom Vercetti Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 No Diggity is that classic. And i'm okay with the worsts list isince i'm not a fan of any of them.
potent Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 DWK is trash, anything Shawn is trash, Bodak is polarizing so makes sense that it's here I use Lovefool!
Remmy Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Worst Songs #15-11: I disagree with Shawn, I think that's actually his best release so far. Demi is understandable but I love it. Don't Wanna Know grew on me after I heard the album and it turned out to be among the top 7 tracks. Can't complain about the other two! Like, at all. Best of 1997 #20-16: No Diggity Lovefool

That Bad Eartha Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Yeah, I appreciate what Cardi B accomplished, but the song and her flow do absolutely nothing for me.

Lazuli Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 DWK is truly trash, don't really care for Shawn, BY is just fine, WOW could've been much better, and SNS is a bop
Mr.Link Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Lovefool and Say What You Want are both masterpieces
Little Dark Age Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 worst: hmm one of these sings isn't like the rest I agree on the rest tho. DWK made my year-end worst in 2016, WoW is a finalist this year and the other two won't make my worst of but they aren't good either
sumthintoxic82 Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Walk On Water is whatever, as is THeres Nothing Holfin Me Back TOTALLY agree with Dont Wanna Know (and im a huge M5 fan that loves the bad ) Bodak Yellow has become a guilty pleasure of mine and Sorry Not Sorry FINALLY hit me now and I love it No Diggity,
Pedro Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 While I love "Don't Wanna Know", "Sorry Not Sorry" and "Walk On Water" are indeed bad.
