lhdang2000 Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Yas Barbie Girl. One of the first Western songs that I know & like.
Remmy Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Best of 1997: MMMBop is a bop, mmm Same with Barbie Girl Best of 2017 - Bubbling Under: Godzilla + Move You Kissing Strangers Anywhere Take Me and Spaceship Both are ****ing incredible
prézli Posted December 16, 2017 Author Posted December 16, 2017 This is Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones... Spoiler Legends Aqua DID THAT with two songs (so far) in top three. I always preferred Doctor Jones over 'Barbie Girl' because it's less controversial and catchier. The song was a moderate success in the United States, reaching top 20 on Hot 100, but they still dominated Europe, earning their second consecutive number-one single in the United Kingdom, selling over half million copies in there. Spoiler 20. White Town - Your Woman 19. The Cardigans - Lovefool 18. Blackstreet - No Diggity (feat. Dr. Dre & Queen Pen) 17. All Saints - Never Ever 16. Texas - Say What You Want 15. Ultra Naté - Free 14. Spice Girls - Spice Up Your Life 13. Mark Morrison - Return of the Mack 12. Sheryl Crow - If It Makes You Happy 11. Chumbawamba - Tubthumping 10. Will Smith - Men in Black 9. Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There 8. All Saints - I Know Where It's At 7. R. Kelly - I Believe I Can Fly 6. 'N Sync - Tearin' Up My Heart 5. Backstreet Boys - Everybody (Backstreet's Back) 4. Hanson - MMMBop 3. Aqua - Barbie Girl 2. Aqua - Doctor Jones Will Aqua dominate the whole top three? Let's find out.
ATRL Moderator feelslikeadream Posted December 16, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 16, 2017 Mariah Carey's magnum opus Butterfly was released in 1997, yet I don't see it represented anywhere on your list

prézli Posted December 16, 2017 Author Posted December 16, 2017 This is London Symphony Orchestra... Spoiler There are three best male singers in the world: Tom Jones, Chad Kroeger and Richard Ashcroft. (My main fave Coldplay's Chris Martin agrees with me.) Although Ashcroft's solo material sucks hard (he released an album in 2016, but believe me, it's not worth to listen to it), The Verve's discography is flawless. Their 1997's third studio album 'Urban Hymns' is one of my favorite albums of all time, a must for alternative rock fans. It features Bitter Sweet Symphony as the first single. A MASTERPIECE. This song is not only the best 1997 song but one of the best songs ever.
