Diet Pepsi Posted December 19, 2017 Author Posted December 19, 2017 5-I honestly didn’t know Bebe had the ability to make this much of a bop. This song reminds me of a local music festival and all of the amazing new friends I made while I was there. Plus it inspired the now classic “rexhars bad bitches & true Bebe Rexha fans”. A classic 4-Ally is by far by favorite member of Fifth Harmony and she just brings this song to life. When the track list first came out this was my least hyped song but they really delievered. It’s a shame they gave us a ****ty music video though. This is an example of untapped potential that Fifth Harmony has. 3-I’m a bit of a negative nancy so this song completely resonates with me. The studio version is great but compared to the live version it’s nothing. When I heard Miley was going country pop this is exactly what I imagined. Such a bummer this will never get radio play. Thank you for releasing one of your best songs on a little more than a lackluster album 2-THIS is a top tier Taylor song. Everything about this song is flawless and it’s been on repeat since the moment it came out. From the amazing hook to the vocoder in the chorus I have sharp pains in my scalp everytime I listen. Release this as song of the spring 2018 please Taylor. which means my #1 favorite deep cut of 2017 is....
Diet Pepsi Posted December 19, 2017 Author Posted December 19, 2017 (edited) 1-This has every element a classic needs. The moment I heard this I knew it was magical. The amazing production, lyricism and delivery really bring this song to a whole new level. I will never forgive their team for dropping the ball and not making this their lead single. This song has since tied Work From Home as my favorite Fifth Harmony song ever which is no easy feat. My faves really did that Edited December 19, 2017 by Chevysus
Remmy Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 All the Spotify boxes on the last page lowkey almost crashed my browser #10-6: Witness and Games Rainbow The first two are a little high thoooo#5-1: Don't remember what Bad Mood sounds like Tay went off on Delicate whew! Top 3 from rep
Dom Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 yasss at bad mood, a smasha. her perfomance at SNL made me shook angel is the only decent song on self titled.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Games one of my album favorites, Demi did so good this year Rainbow Witness SLAYS one of her best songs tbh
K$Ellie Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Omg #15-11 are pretty much perfect Daddy Issues and Roulette are the best songs on Demi + Katy's album Games and Rainbow shouldn't be that high tbh Witness is great The only thing I like about Bad Bitch is the meltdown tbh Bad Mood and Deliver are cute Delicate slaying one of my faves Angel is a great #1, the only song I loved from their album
TayRianaPH Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Delicate, stan for that Dad! Angel is a BOP and Bad Mood knocks! Witness + Rainbow and Bad Bitch are great too comment on my best of hun
Diet Pepsi Posted December 20, 2017 Author Posted December 20, 2017 15-This is pretty much only hear because of how thirsty I am for any form of new music in January. It's still a decent album but I haven't really touched it since January. This definitely shows that Kehlani can serve bops but to me it kind of lacks artistry and feels like anyone could be singing these songs. STANDOUTS:Crzy,Personal,Undercover,Distraction,Do U Dirty 14-This album shows that Cupcakke has a lot more than raunchy songs to bring to the table. On "Elizabitch" Cupcakke raps on a diversity of topics from eating disorders, poverty and yes of course sex! Her flow is extremely underrated and some of these songs sound like they could be hits with just a bit more polishing. With each release Cupcakke has improved the quality from her music and this release is no exception. STANDOUTS:Biggie Smalls,CPR,33rd,Quick Thought 13-To name your international debut album "So Good" is a very bold move that is extremely risky. Unfortunately this LP falls flat in its execution. After releasing about half the album as singles before the album it leaves lots to be desired. It lacks artistic direction but when it's good it really is SO GOOD. If this album was about 4 tracks shorter and some of the singles were cut the quality could be improved drastically. It does a decent job at showcasing Zara's potential but leaves you craving more. She still was able to have one of the best album covers of the year and there's lots of room for improvement. STANDOUTS: Funeral,I Can't Fall In Love Without You,Sundown,One Missisipi,TG4M
Dom Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 zara's album is eh? trash, sis. wyd? only singles are good. cupcakke is not my tea, hate it.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 SSS was such a discovering this year never really got into this girl, but whole album slayed me
K$Ellie Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Tbh I haven't listen to SSS much recently either but it's still a great album So Good is a mess I don't like any of your standouts except TG4M
Remmy Posted December 21, 2017 Posted December 21, 2017 Queen Elizabitch was cute CPR and 33rd in your highlights So Good is good indeed But not necessarily great. Nice set of standouts
Diet Pepsi Posted December 22, 2017 Author Posted December 22, 2017 The Singles: 75-Y’all really need to stop sleeping on Jordan. He actually has an amazing voice and can dance too. Truly the full package, such a shame his potential is being wasted on Hollywood Records. 74-I was obsessed with this song for like a week before I completely stopped spinning it. It aged faster than milk left out on a hot summer day but it went HARD for that first week. Wayne was just completely unnecessary though. 73-I don’t know why but I am a HUGE fan of The Chainsmokers production and it absolutely knocks on this track. Pair that with good vocals from Chris and you have a certified bop. 72-I can’t belive Tinashe released this instead of pushing Lucid Dreaming. 71-This song also aged like milk on a hot summers day but to a lesser extent than No Frauds. The only thing that really wows me about this track is Cardi and I wish it was a solo track by her. 70-This song kind of makes my ears feel weird when I listen to it. I was expecting so much more from Shania but it’s still a cute feel good song. 69-This is by far Selena’s weakest song released this year. I really don’t see the hype or how this became her biggest hit of the year. I still really enjoy the lyricism even though it’s a bit of a basic try hard tumblr mess. 68-This song is such a banger. Hey Violet really did THAT by releasing their only good songs as 2 consecutive singles. 67-This probably wouldn’t have been anywhere close to this list without the amazing video Charli put out. Everytime I listen to this the little Mario coin sound makes me scream. 66-Liam is by far my favorite (& the best) member of 1D but this single is just not that good. The “I used to be in 1D” line is already a classic though. Poor Harold just couldn’t do it
Remmy Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 No Frauds Flame Something Just Like This Boys is okay. Strip That Down sucks, Liam hasn't made 1 decent song yet.
Bubble Tea Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 You better stan for Delicate, Flame and Boys. All great - Delicate particularly is some of Taylor's BEST ever work and songwriting. It's nice to just see her BE a songwriter and not obsessively trying to create some kinda character and be all tough and loose and fun at the same time. She's honestly exhausting. Just be your damn self girl.
