Cheetos Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 People talking **** as if their faves are doing it

Icannot Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 (edited) Y'all always bring Adele up in every Taylor thread just to discredit Her sales omg. I feel kinda bad for the real Adele stans. Anyway, more than a decade in and She is STILL snatching 1M+ debuts. We love consistency. Edited November 23, 2017 by Icannot

But she did great regardless, so. UWC doesn't count most Asian countries + the album release date was delayed because of shipping issues. She did 300k in china.

Your fave is selling 5x less than Taylor on a global level, and somehow Taylor's sales are the ones that need to be looked down upon? Nah this is what you want to hear , i said that she has a huge hype and a huge fan base and that ofc she put huge numbers first week but that we should wait months to know if it's only her fan base or if she is indeed global. Another question?

It doesn't make much of a difference for Taylor, but for some who had high TEA + SEA the list is deceptive.

Like Unless your fave is Adele or Ed, they are never doing it so sit down lmao.

Another question? Does she needs longevity when her fanbase alone can put her at 1.6M in one week? Other popgirls need tons of single and TEA and SEA equivalents units for months to achieve that amount

The fact you can't congratulate her first week and have to run to how it will do in 20 weeks is proof she did well first week and you're bothered by it. There is nothing 'deceptive' considering if you look at all albums on pure sales, or all albums on SPS.... Taylor would still be above them. The point of the post was to show her debut was the highest for a female after Adele. Unless you can show there's another female who did more, then it isn't deceptive. 3 minutes ago, Rainsford said: For someone that is supposed to be on Adele's league (hi swifties), Taylor's numbers are pretty...bellow. These numbers are shockingly low tbh. Shania did 117,000 outside US two months ago, 24 years into her career and coming off a 15 year hiatus in a changed music market. Yet ATRL called her local and attributed her sales to ticket bundles!!1!1!!!1

Yeah, I agree with your statement about Taylor having the highest outside -US 1st week numbers. But the list is false and inconsistent because of the reasons I stated. Emperor Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 (edited) @taylor__fan 1.6M is indeed very good but i'm sure than an artist prefer when his album has longevity and new person discover his music and i'm pretty sure you agree with this Oh and my faves are Rih, Ariana and Adele so they are far from being flops, thank you very much Edited November 23, 2017 by Emperor

Still VERY IMPRESSIVE numbers, even if she starts selling 0 copies in the second week
