It says initial sales reports so I hope it goes up. But 125k for Monday is great considering it did 208k during the weekend. :clap3:

717k first day (around 400k pre-orders)

208k 2nd - 3rd day (around 104k each)

125k 4th day

Looks like she increased from the previous days. If she sells around 120k for the 3 remaining days, that's a total 1.410M :michael: I think shes doing 1.35-1.45M

I think some or all UPS copies are counted now.

No way she sold more on a Monday than in  a Saturday or Sunday.

Doesn’t every artist have preorders? What kind of point are you trying to make?

Stop trying to belittle her success.

Just saying 1m in 4 days isn’t entirely accurate since it’s influenced by the fact that there were 2 months of awareness and opportunity stacking up for her first week. A lot of those sales may have attributed to her following weeks as many people are too busy to buy it in its first week.

Other artists using preorders isn’t relevant in that context unless similar claims are being made regarding specific details like “_____ sold  _____ in _____ days”.

This is ridiculous. Her sales are influenced by promotion? We got that.

I would think the 3 day number got increased with other retailers reporting along with the 4th day numbers.

Hopefully UPS isn't in there yet :cm:

Specific details like ummmm first week sales? Pre-orders count for everyone for the first week. Get over it.

No. The second statement is in regard to why there’s no point in mentioning other artists using preorders.

I’m only mentioning it here because a detail such as 700k in a day should take into account that over half of that has been stored up for 2 months. Not all of those preorders would have been bought in 24 hours. Not everyone has time for that.

Ok so minus the 400k preorders, 200k A DAY essentially. :jonny3: I'm so glad I chose this era to become a fan. Like some people are using SPS and tour bundles to even hit 200k and she's using neither.

Bitch, me too the **** :smitten:

Do you have anything to back that up? When people pre-order an album it's because they want to get it as soon as they can, which is as soon as it's released.

This legend is too much. The way she clocked everyone. :deadbanana:

it's true though. Red had no preorders and it's first day sales was still 500k. These numbers aren't anything out of the norm for Taylor.

0 of it was stored up for 2 months. A preorder isn't a sale, it's just a reservation. Customers are free to cancel at any time.

She and Adele are really something else :jonny:

By your logic, should movie ticket presales/seat reservations not count towards a movie's box office weekend gross?

Over 1,000,000 pure sales of "reputation" in the US already! "reputation" is already the best-selling album of 2017 in the US after 3-4 days. :clap3: This is Taylor's 4th consecutive album to sell over a million copies in the US in its first week.

Legends always win.

!! Exactly.

And what about restaurants. Did a restaurant not make X amount of dollars on Christmas Eve if customers had been reserving tables many weeks prior?

It's just absurd.
