BZZ Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I still think this is going to be lower. Something between 950K - 1.1M, and SPS could be higher and potentially pass 1989.

KingKhalid Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 Either Taylor is truly the lord, or this is just the result of payola, shipments, and her team literally buying her album This is not even iconic enough to be this popular, it’ll be forgotten quicker than LWYMMD.

Seethe, the excuses She's literally doing her best first week sales ever with almost no promo and some people are still trying.
Inner Insanity Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Crazy the next highest debut is P!nk with upwards of 400k. No one can ever underestimate Miss Swift's selling power.
Kyungsoowift Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 i guess she'll cross the 1.5M mark, hopefully 2M

I wish all my favs could be that forgotten.

But before Reputation's release 1989 was her only album charting on the BB200. Edited November 13, 2017 by Blue Honeymoon

I've thought of this possibility. I think she might do one trick or two to have a first week as impressive as possible. But I think the album is selling so much mainly because of her fan base buying the album 939894948 times to help her pass Oops' first week sales.

Why would they be doing this, just to break a record that's already been broken? The true answer this that she simply has a massive and loyal fanbase, especially stateside.

Because they are obsessed with her stats and her sales, they really want her to look like she's miles ahead everyone, so having a huge first week is important for them, and thus, they buy the album as much as they can afford, even when they know there's no chance to beat Adele.
analxspears Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 omg and if she releases the album on streaming services next week for week 2's tracking she could literally go 1m again OMG

It would cushion her second week fall though.
