Pop Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 I am so proud of her Talent keeps WINNING in 2017
bjnono001 Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 (edited) Honestly anything over 1M would be a massive success given the current sales climate and the fact that she's already done it 3 times before. More than 1989 and Oops I Did it Again would be the cherry on top for her. Edited November 8, 2017 by bjnono001

Bounce Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 She's doing 1m so that's for sure and that's all that matter only the queen of music
Nick_317 Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 They are OVERESTIMATING her so as to bring her down again. Classic Billboard. And Yes we get Adele is untouchable, queen, legend, TAW, record-breaking and groundbreaking. Now go back to your base.

Because if you did, you would know that these free digital codes that come with a copy of the album are a very common thing and they DON'T count towards the charts. I get that you desperately want Taylor to flop, but don't spread lies to satisfy your fictional narrative. Edited November 8, 2017 by peterstyles13
IBeMe Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 I don't want to expect too much. I'm still going to low ball it at around 800k to 950k so that I can get overwhelmed and super excited if she does more!
Crescendolls. Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 It seemed credible during LWYMMD first 2-3 weeks but now that it's about to leave the top 40 in its 12th week (I think SIO was still #1 at this point) and that she'll most likely have zero songs in the top 25 during release week I wouldn't be so sure but if she did, that would be impressive, ngl

Only matters for artists with only streaming and zero sales. Edited November 9, 2017 by Godinos

Bubble Tea Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 What's all this zero promo thing? She's got two massive music videos and posters and around the world globally? Like I can assure you if there's Billboards in Wellington, New Zealand of all places you can rest pretty well assured that there's been a massive promo budget. Anyway, nonetheless this is incredible. She is TRULY a force.

She is TRULY a force. She has literally not shown her face in public and has made little to no effort even acknowledging she has a current era about to start. The album is selling itself with its visuals alone. She's been behind the curtain all this time.
Elvis Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 I think they're overestimating her. I'd be more than happy with a million or even 'just' 800k.
Elliot Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 whats with this 0 promo mess? Hype = promo, all those teasers on insta=promo, LWYMMD video = promo, swifties wyd. acting like taylor is some indie singer
Robert Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 I think they’re over-estimating because they were so off with 1989
Love Test Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 I think she'll sell anywhere from 850K - 1.1M. I hope she exceeds my expectations, but I feel Reputation will not have as much impact and longevity as 1989 or even Red.

Hype = promo, all those teasers on insta=promo, LWYMMD video = promo, swifties wyd. acting like taylor is some indie singer Nobody is acting like Taylor is an indie artist. She has had zero performances and zero appearances so far. She hasn’t even been seen out in public other than some paps willing to crash a wedding she was attending just to get a click. Usually artist are everywhere when an era starts, especially Taylor and especially in an era that’s so heavily anticipated. She has always done any award show performances she can book and radio promo, but not this time around. It’s minimal promo, especially compared to the huge rollouts she normally does. So yes, kudos to her because with her least promoted era, she’s outdoing her debut numbers of all three of her previous million openers.
