TayDine1989 Posted November 14, 2017 Author Posted November 14, 2017 (edited) TayDine1989 presents the xD's Top Tracks Countdown for reputation in celebration of the music industry's pop masterpieces by the one and only Queen of County-Pop, Taylor Swift! ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 15 SO IT GOES... Best Line: "I make all your grey days clear and wear you like a necklace" Most Memorable Line: "You know I'm not a bad girl, but I do bad things with you" Spoiler So It Goes... is such a grower track for me but as of now, it is my least loved track on reputation. My initial reaction to this song was that I immediately considered it as a filler track but through time, I was enlightened by the different and cool vibe brought to me by the song. Hopefully, months or years later from now, it'll snatch a top ten spot on the ranking of rep tracks. My rating? It's a 7 out of 10 for me. 14 GORGEOUS Best Line: "You should think about the consequence of your magnetic field being a little too strong" Most Memorable Line: "Ocean blue eyes looking in mine I feel like I might sink and drown and die" Spoiler Gorgeous is an amazing track. It actually holds my own chart's record most weekly spins and with that I can say that the impact brought to me by this songs has been heavily frontloaded. It's cute and the GP would want this but through time I have found this to be boring especially when I am not in the mood. My Rating? It's a 7 out of 10 for me. 13 CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT Best Line: "My castle crumbled overnight / I brought a knife to a gunfight / They took the crown but it's alright" Most Memorable Line: "My baby's fit like a daydream walking with his head down - I'm the one he's walking to" Spoiler This song give me so much feels. I remember playing it the first time and I was in a beach 'cause I had a vacation and it really gave me an iconic feeling of how love gives us paradise at times. I love the lyrics but personally but t is one of the least standout tracks on the album. My Rating? It's an 8 out of 10 for me. Edited November 15, 2017 by TayDine1989
Nein Posted November 14, 2017 Posted November 14, 2017 I agree with the last two but Call It What You Want tho?
TayDine1989 Posted November 14, 2017 Author Posted November 14, 2017 (edited) 12 KING OF MY HEART Best Line: "The taste of your lips is my idea of luxury" Most Memorable Line: "And all at once, you are the one I have been waiting for king of my heart, body and soul" Spoiler This is one of the songs on rep that's between okay and great. The sound of the song is new and i love the mixing especially the chorus part. This is obviously not a standout track but I see that the GP would love this so much My rating? It's a 7.5 out of 10 for me. 11 DANCING WITH OUR HANDS TIED Best Line: "And darling, you had turned my bed into a sacred oasis" Most Memorable Line: "You said there was nothing in the world that could stop it / I had a bad feeling" Spoiler I usually associate this as the twin of King Of My Heart cause it gives me the same vibe to the song. The chorus of this song is so addicting that it's stuck in my head at times when i am not listening to anything. This is a single potential but I don't see it becoming one cause of the much more powerful songs on the album My rating? It's a 7.5 out of 10 for me. Edited November 15, 2017 by TayDine1989
TayDine1989 Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 (edited) 10 NEW YEAR'S DAY Best Line: "Hold on to the memories, they will hold on to you - and I will hold on to you" Most Memorable Line: "Please don't ever become a stranger whose laugh I could recognize anywhere" Spoiler I underestimated this song at first. I found it so dull and boring and the lyrics weren't that deep. I was expecting a she'd pull a Dear John or All Too Well with this given the reactions of the SSers. But through time, I have learned the magic of this song. It is a really good track and there's something more to it with the story behind the lyrics. My rating? It's an 8.5 out of 10 for me. 9 THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS Best Line: "But then you stabbed me in the back while shaking my hand" Most Memorable Line: "And here's to you 'cause forgiveness is a nice thing to do / Haha, I can't even say it with a straight face!" Spoiler I really love this song! I don't get the hate it is receiving here in ATRL. This has a lot of potential to become a commercially successful song. It just really need a very shady music video to create massive buzz. My Rating? It's an 8 out of 10 for me. 8 ...READY FOR IT? Best Line: "And he can be my jailer - Burton to this Taylor" Most Memorable Line: "I see how this is gonna go, touch me and you'll never be alone" Spoiler One of my favorites from rep. My overall spins for this song is just one of the proofs (this is my countdown's most streamed songs ever!). I love Tay's rap and this really brought a brand new and fresh sound to it. Second best album opening (State Of Grace remains unbothered). Hope it gets a second life on BB Hot 100 charts! My Rating? It's an 9 out of 10 for me. Edited November 15, 2017 by TayDine1989
TayDine1989 Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 (edited) 7 LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO Best Line: "I've got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined" Most Memorable Line: "I'm sorry, the old Taylor can't come to the phone right now / Why? / Oh 'cause she's dead!" Spoiler Now I get why Tay and Big Machine decided this to become the lead single of reputation. Until now, it still slays me especially when I am in the right mood. But sometimes I do get sick listening to it xD Love the bridge so much - the Taylor is dead line is really iconic tbh. My Rating? It's an 8.5 out of 10 for me 6 DRESS Best Line: "Even in my worst lies, you saw the truth in me" Most Memorable Line: "Only bought this dress so you could take it off, take it off (Ha! Ha! Ha!)" Spoiler I really love the unique feeling this song gives me. At first, I listed this song as rep's three worst tracks but look where it is right now! Such a grower track and I really wish this would become a single. My Rating? It's a 9 out of 10 for me. Edited November 15, 2017 by TayDine1989
TayDine1989 Posted November 15, 2017 Author Posted November 15, 2017 (edited) 5 I DID SOMETHING BAD Best Line: "'Cause for every lie I tell them, they tell me three" Most Memorable Line: "They say I did something bad then why's it feel so good?" Spoiler Definitely one of my early favorites! The beat and the vocals and everything about it just so perfect! Could also work as the lead single but let us just leave LWYMMD alone. I wish the bridge contains more content lyric-wise. My Rating? It's a 9.5 out of 10 for me. 4 DELICATE Best Line: "Sometimes when I look into your eyes, I pretend you're mine, all the damn time" Most Memorable Line: "My reputation's never been worse, so you must like me for me..." Spoiler I hate to put this in top 4! It's just that the three songs above it are just so bops! In the first day upon listening to rep, I found this to be the highlight of the whole album. It's really a good bridge between Don't Blame Me and LWYMMD. I really wish this would be a single although I don't see the GP picking up to this song fast. My Rating? It's a 10 out of 10 for me. Edited November 15, 2017 by TayDine1989
TayDine1989 Posted November 17, 2017 Author Posted November 17, 2017 (edited) 3 END GAME (f/ Ed Sheeran, Future) Best Line: "I swear I don't love the drama, it loves me" Most Memorable Line: "I don't wanna touch you, I don't wanna be just another ex-love you don't wanna see" Spoiler Love this track so much. All the verses by each of them totally slays in their own ways. Clearly, Ed delivered the best verse lyric-wise. Taylor's rap here is way better than RFI's. Definitely a sure fire hit. High chance of #1. Love the "Big reputation" part and also the pre-chorus. My Rating? It's a 9.5 out of 10 for me. 2 DON'T BLAME ME Best Line: "I once was poison ivy, but now I'm your daisy" Most Memorable Line: "Lord, save me, my drug is my baby I'll be using for the rest of my life" Spoiler One of my early favorites! The chorus really htis me so hard. And that belt in the bridge, gosh! I love the fresh sound it brings me and that sound doesn't get old like never! My Rating? It's a 10 out of 10 for me. 1 GETAWAY CAR Best Line: "We never had a shotgun shot in the dark" Most Memorable Line: "We were flyin', but we'd never get far" Spoiler I don't get the hate I've been seeing for this song by some people here in ATRL. This track is sick! It's like a song of Speak Now meets 1989! The imagery it is bringing to me is insane! That bridge, wig nowhere to be found! My Rating? It's a 11 out of 10 for me. TayDine1989 Posted December 10, 2017 Author Posted December 10, 2017 I have a new set of updated rules and criteria for my charts Since I am now using Spotify Premium, I can no longer track my daily scrobbles. So every week, I make my own hits playlist and every day i rank them. And at the end of the week, I'll get their average ranks and there I can get the week's countdown! Spoiler THIS WEEKS' ENTRIES: [Tracks] Getaway Car Lucky Don't Blame Me Runaway With Me Mary, Did You Know? Lights Delicate Dress Writer In The Dark Ghost End Game The Show Put Yor Records On Homemade Dynamite TIWWCHNT AIWFCY I Did Something Bad New Year's Day Worth It Woman Issues Mean CPH Girls Invisible Should I Stay or Should I Go RFI Remix I Don't Know My Name Green Light Told You So Havana E.T. Green Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 9/10 "This is why we can't have nice things" is also one of my favorites from Reputation I don't like Dress though
Konril Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 All these Taylor songs. Shame though since I'm not really fond of reputa, 1989 had better song imo. Yes at HD and Perfect Duet.
Remmy Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 rep rank: SIG, King, Dancing, ...RFI? and IDSB are way too low So It Goes... is one of the biggest growers of 2017 for me, started in my bottom 2 and now it's close to my top 5! End Game could be much lower Top Songs: Queen still taking over Top Albums + Artists: Kesha, Lorde and Taylor doing super well Oop at you playing a ton of Melanie during the controversy - quite risky! I still don't really know what to say about that whole situation, but either way I'll still love her music.

TayDine1989 Posted December 15, 2017 Author Posted December 15, 2017 (edited) Spoiler Even though reputation's album effect have withered on the album's tracks, Getaway Car remains at the summit of this week's top songs chart with gains in its performance. More than half of rep's plays for this week came from this week's #1 song. This is Taylor's 4th #1 and is tied as her longest song to stay at #1 (...Ready For It: 2 weeks, Call It What You Want and Gorgeous reigned for a week). Following Addison Agen's The Voice Performance, Lucky debuts at #2 on this week's chart. This is Britney's very first entry to the chart. Carly Rae Jepsen also scores her first entry with Run Away With Me which fueled her latest album Emotion to surge to #4 on the albums chart. Lorde scores her third top five hit with Writer In The Dark hitting #4. Pentatonix fills up the remaining spot in the top five with Mary Did You Know?. Taylor Swift reigns this week's chart with 9 entries (up from last week's 8) following ...Ready For It?'s return fueled by the release of Bloopop's remix of the song.
