Pink is like the least relevant female popstar social media/tabloid wise but she always comes THROUGH w/ the sales. Goals tbh

Proof that these things are not what matters at the end of the day.

Pink's power is entirely based on her music, talent, and performances. Tabloids and social media will make you an interesting pop culture figure but at most, those should be extra add-on things to your career like in Bey or JT's case (who also have crazy selling power because of their music, talent, and performance skills, but make tabloids go crazy too).

If you're primarily defined by your social media power but music success doesn't match, then you're not doing it right and need to rethink things.

I think JT, Brit, Bey, and Pink's main audience has aged out of caring about singles on the Hot 100. That's why they still open with decent numbers with or without a high peaking single.

OMG!!!

Some of you are trying iT with the tour bundles excuse. None of the recent females who used the same tactic achieved even half of her sales. Plus, i'm sure if they were paying for a tour ticket, they would have bought the album anyway.

Wow!! Totally not what I expected.

Who would have thought 2017 would be P!nk's year. Talent is a wonderful thing, its power never ceases to amaze me.

Let me shed a tear for the poor record label as if everyone doesn't have 360 deals and they aren't getting a cut off of tix sales and merch  :'(

I'm not sure what the point of this post is. Revenue is literally the reason BB counts albums (or claims to).

“With ticket bundling”

Youre spending MORE for a concert ticket and the cost of the album is built into it. How is this a bad thing? Lol. That means there’s demand. Bitches don’t even wanna spend $9.99-11.99 on iTunes for new music, buts an issue when people are spending $50+ on tickets and getting an album too? I don’t get it :michael:

@iHype. has explained this well in the past. Imagine U2 going on tour (literally the biggest touring act of all time) and with every ticket came a free song. Because U2 tickets are so popular, that song, if counted towards the H100, would probably go top 10. But no one would know the song unless they're diehard U2 fans who want to hear it. Albums are the same thing. Not to mention, pretty much everyone streams nowadays. If they want to listen to the album, they're probably already paying for a service that allows them to.

How is that even comparable to actually paying for a concert ticket + album? :rip:

It's literally the same thing. "They went to the concert, clearly the demand to hear the songs are there!". Record labels don't make money off of ticket bundles.

P!nk's success has aged so well and the album is so good. Very proud of this. Would love to see this hit the 375 SPS:)

Fake news. iHype is like 17 and doesn't know what he's talking about no shade.

The ticket has the cost of the album and the label gets the FULL $$$ from it.

And people have to REDEEM the album, it's not automatic.

Its marketing, literally everyone does it now. It's the new normal so get used to it.

Huh? Joanne did over 100k less than this :rip:

Yes, without tour bundles. So Joanne number (201k) with tour bundle (90k-100k) = ~300k

Britney's #s are not like the others...

The trinity from the 00s generation that stood the test of time is JT, Bey and P!nk only

Ok. I didn't know a bundle was involved. That makes the numbers a little less astonishing tbh. But good for her. I'll wait for the 2nd week sales before I say too much.

The price of tickets after a bundle never goes down. It's literally free.

Imagine a touring force like Gaga doing a ticket bundle with sold out stadiums :deadbanana2:
