Witch Privilege Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Her SPS numbers being 6x as much as the #2, and her pure sales being 10x more than the #2. P!nk really slayed. Wow.

And where/how do Don't Let Me Get Me/Just Like A Pill/Get The Party Started/etc. sound like U + Ur Hand? Try This was a severe underperformance, Stupid Girls fizzled out and Who Knew didn't do anything in the US. U + Ur Hand and its glossy take on pop-rock that Luke was pushing out to any pop girl with a guitar at the time (see: it being a literal copy of 4ever) saved her career in the US and gave Who Knew a 2nd chance. Her career would literally have ended if she didn't have U + Ur Hand, so yes, even P!nk has needed to rely on trendier producers & songs. This isn't something to be ashamed of. Never insult the Queen of the Hot 100 like that again. Also, he was just saying that I'm Not Dead deserved these numbers, not that P!nk in general didn't deserve these numbers.
dfantasy Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Oops, so on edge when I come into this thread. I still mean it though #sorrynotsorry
nick4bty Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 This is one of the biggest slays I've ever seen. She has consistently INCREASED her first week sales album to album since I'm Not Dead in 2005, even when music sales are declining every single year. Incredible.

FACT. BTW for $0.99 did see a loss for AMAZON. Who's denying that? But it was they're choice as a private party to purchase every copy at full price and resell it. Take an economics course please. But...how do you know the exact price of the ticket so that they don't lose money? maybe already the price of the ticket is disproportionate and does not cost to give the cd because they always earn money

There's no denying about that. She needed it in order to revive her career. It doesn't mean she changed her sound completely in order to get success again (aka trend-seeking). As said before, pop-rock was already her niche, and she helped out a lot making it trendy again with M!ss. She just refreshed it using popular producers. Edited October 18, 2017 by Mat.91

She was actually forced to work with Luke and Max for IND. Her label basically told her to do it. She didn’t want to. So it’s not like she jumped on a trend to stay relevant. She did it because it was the only way they were gonna release her album. Sonically, yes it was a trend, but lyrically she still made it hers.
wesleywalrus Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Her SPS is really low it will be interesting to see second week numbers.
Papichulo Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Queen P!nk slays once more! Queen of us underdogs! <3
