So the version that will enter to top 5 next week is the remix with Bey?

Because the version with the more points is the one that will do it right?

According to Simm, the version with most points will be the original

But it seems like she is getting credited anyway :deadbanana2:

if she is credited already she would get at least three weeks - this week, this week that will be updated tommorow and week when it will jump to top 5. and that's mistake it should be like that.

simm is saying that orginal has 50 points more so after all she shouldn't be credited at all.

but she will be.

How do you know ?

I am guessing but in my opinion she will be because "It's Beyoncé".

and that's not fair even with me being her fan

Finally Demi is seeing some major success. :cries: If only it was CFTS that was slaying like this though.

It’s an old article but idk if it reflects the current guidelines but

Secondly, while the version of "E.T." featuring West was the one listed throughout the song's Hot 100 chart life, "Friday" was billed only as a Perry single, not featuring Elliott, although a remix featuring the female rapper was released. Why list one guest and not the other on the Hot 100? For "E.T.," the West version of "E.T." sold the majority of the title's downloads. For "Friday," the Elliott-assisted remix did not.

Mainly, the West remix doesn't change the core elements of the original song; it merely adds rapping. I actually think that West's contributions improve it, and that's coming from a pure pop fan at heart. The momentum build-up of the end of his bridge rap - "I ... tell you what to do ... what to do ... what to do!" - crashing back into Perry's "Kiss me, ki-ki-kiss me ..." chorus is a highlight of the song.

Granted, the West interlude replaces Perry's sung bridge on the album version ("Boy, I'm your lucky staaar ...") While that's a noticeable difference, it's a mere part of the song. The verses and chorus are the same in each version. To me, and per Billboard's guidelines about how remixes count toward a song's chart life - ("Billboard will treat re-recorded songs that bear no resemblance to the original recording as a separate and distinctive song for the purposes of chart tracking. The guidelines are lyric and melody: if neither element is similar to the original recording, the two versions will not be merged.") - "E.T." is ultimately one song, available in original and remixed versions.

But yea John legend not being credited for Lay Me Down was shady tho

They were so biased against John Legend, especially when his version outsold the original.

So what will Billboard say now after Beyoncé is credited for Mi Gente? :skull:  They are so inconsistent with their own rules.

Billboard is clearly case-by-case with remix credits. They probably included Bey just cause they can.

Beyonce probably already called Billboard and told them:

bitch you betta include me or I will ignore your charts even more in my next era

Have the orginal at ~180 points and the remix at ~130 :celestial5:

Not sure about radio though and if that's even taking into the decision here

wow...oh wow.

I think that she won't be credited, yeah. But from just in the top 20 to top 5 is obviously a big jump... Idk what Billboard will do. Not like they always stick to the letter of their rules

Billboard sucks up to power players like Beyonce so i'm sure it'll be Beyonce featuring whoevers song it is.

Why is Perfect starting to smash all of a sudden? Did he perform it live somewhere?

They've begun pushing it on radio and, at the same time, gotten it added to a lot of Spotify playlists. It's now in the 50s there where just a few weeks ago it was not top 200.
