''bark'' isn't even an animal sound to begin with, so :cm:

Bark is the action, woof is the sound :cm:

@Navyofbadgals Bark and Woof should definitely be categorized as the same.

Bark is the formal sound of a dog, but the informal word is "woof" to better represent its sound.

The link you provided even suggests that they are basically the same:

"A bark is a sound most commonly produced by dogs.

Woof is the most common representation in the English language for this sound"

Barking is an action, not a sound. Woof is a sound, not an action. How is it the same thing?
