Why do you guys continue to talk about Rap albums pure sales numbers each week like it's shocking

Rap fans stream MUCH more than any other genre, so naturally, the pure sales will be much lower than any other genre.

In years coming once Pop and other genres fanbases get fully acquainted with streaming, they also, will be selling below 5K after the first 2 weeks while having huge streams. It's not a hard concept.

Solid start for Jhené given the streaming/itunes only release and no hit song :clap3:

Those sales numbers are so tragic :/

So basically an artist can sell less than 1,000 copies of his/her album, but with streaming it makes the Top 10, hmmm. It is what it is, get those points I guess

Fergie

Tbh though, it's not too bad considering how messy this era has been. Little promo, the leak, constant push backs, no hit single (I aint counting L.A. Love and Milf $ due the massive release gap) and her streaming is terrible :'(

Also a damn mess at #2 selling less than 1k and out charting a living Legend like Miss Fergie Ferg

Hopefully Macklemore snatches #2 from that guy who isn't even selling 1k copies of his album.

Lil Uzi Vert at #2 with less than 1k in pure sales. :skull:

The fact that Fergie would’ve been top 10 w/o SPS :deadbanana3:

Jhene debuted at #3 with her last album. She's not a nobody.

I know sales are dead but SPS are so unfair to Pop artists, I hate it.

Fergie did ok considering the leak and her long break.

This is sad she deserves better. But everything about the era was an inexcusable mess so you can't blame anybody but the team. Just a shame.
