iHype. Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 RIAA 2017 MID YEAR REPORT Quote In the first half of 2017, growth in revenues from music subscription streaming services continued to offset declines in traditional unit based sales. Estimated retail revenues from recorded music in the United States grew 17% in the first half of 2017 to $4.0 billion. At wholesale value, the industry was up 14.6% to $2.7 billion. This growth refects a continuation of the trends from 2016, but overall market revenues are still signifcantly below the levels they were in 1999
istan4badgalriri Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 but i thought streaming was ruining the industry digital downloads 19% iTunes is dying

ATRL Moderator Samson Posted September 20, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted September 20, 2017 streaming 62% physicals are going to eventually overtake digital sales, that's basically how it is in every market that already uses streaming (sweden, norway, denmark, etc)
