BlazingLovatic
Demi Lovato will be Sorry Not Sorry to know she's Number 1 on this week's Official Trending Chart. Based on movement up the Official Singles Chart, the Official Trending Chart is the UK's leading countdown of buzzworthy songs predicted to become future hits (the chart's full methodology can be found at the bottom of the page). The former X Factor USA judge's latest track has been something of a slow burner, climbing steadily since its release eight weeks ago. Sorry Not Sorry leads today's Trending tally, looking set to hit the Official Singles Chart Top 10 for the very first time this Friday (September 8). What the chart is: Quote The Top 20 rundown, published on OfficialCharts.com every Tuesday, based on the first four days’ sales of each chart week, is designed to highlight emerging hits as they begin to scale the Official Charts and build buzz. The Official Trending Chart ranks titles which are showing week-on-week chart growth, and is the only “new music” chart to reflect audio track sales and streams comprehensively across all services. Devised by the Official Charts Company in close consultation with labels, retailers and media, the chart since launch has highlighted emerging hits such as Number 1 singles Sign Of The Times by Harry Styles, New Rules by Dua Lipa and Taylor Swift's Look What You Made Me Do. The chart is designed to help highlight hit singles in their early stages of their growth, in the light of the shift in release strategies of record labels over the past six months. Under “On Air On Sale”, labels have started to release new music for consumers to buy or stream on the same day as those tracks are released to media (including radio stations and TV). http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/demi-lovatos-sorry-not-sorry-is-this-weeks-official-trending-chart-number-1__20340/
