iHype.
Taylor Swift's 'Look What You Made Me Do' Leaps to No. 1 on Hot 100 With Top Streaming & Sales Week of 2017 Quote Best weekly sales of 2017: "Look" also launches with the top weekly download sales this year: 353,000 in the week ending Aug. 31, as it starts at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart. That tops the 240,000-download start for Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" (Jan. 28). "Look" sports the highest weekly sales since Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling!" bowed with 379,000 on May 28, 2016 (and the best total for a woman since Adele's "Hello" sold 480,000 in its third week, reflected on the Nov. 28, 2015-dated Digital Song Sales chart). Record-breaking streams: Following its first week of streaming, "Look" blasts onto the Streaming Songs chart at No. 1 with 84.4 million U.S. streams in the week ending Aug. 31, according to Nielsen Music. The total is not only the highest for any song this year, passing the 69.6 million with which "Despacito" peaked on the June 17-dated chart, but the highest ever in a week for a song by a female artist, surpassing the debut week of Adele's "Hello" (61.6 million, Nov. 14, 2015). The album was released on Aug. 25 through Generation Now/Atlantic Records, and follows two earlier charting efforts for the artist. Of Luv Is Rage 2’s total debut units, 28,000 are in traditional album sales. The album is powered mostly by SEA units: 100,000 -- translating to 150.6 million on-demand audio streams of the tracks on the album. The rest of the album’s starting figure is 7,000 TEA units. Pop vocal group Fifth Harmony claims its fourth top 10 effort on the Billboard 200, as its new self-titled album bows at No. 4 with 46,000 units (32,000 in traditional album sales). The girl group’s last album, 7/27, also debuted and peaked at No. 4 in 2016 (74,000 in units and 49,000 in sales). Before 7/27, the group collected top 10s with Reflection (No. 5 in 2015) and the Better Together EP (No. 6 in 2013). 2 1 # Artist Album Change Units % chg 1 Lil Uzi Vert Luv Is Rage 2 DEBUT 135,000 -- 2 XXXTentation 17 DEBUT 87,000 -- 3 Queens of the Stone Age Villains DEBUT 73,000 -- 4 Fifth Harmony Fifth Harmony DEBUT 46,000 -- 5 Kendrick Lamar DAMN. -2 45,000 +11% 6 A$AP Mob Cozy Tapes, Vol. 2: Too Cozy DEBUT 41,000 -- 7 Old Dominion Happy Endings DEBUT 41,000 -- 8 Khalid American Teen -2 33,000 +15% 9 Kodak Black Project Baby -7 33,000 -34% 10 The War on Drugs A Deeper Understanding DEBUT 31,000 --
