Renan90
ONE DREAMY CHART STORY LCD Soundsystem’s american dream—the band’s fourth studio album, first in seven years and first to be released via Columbia—has bowed at #1 on this week’s Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) Chart with 84k. It’s also the only debut to make this Top 50. In their second weeks out, Lil Uzi Vert’s Luv Is Rage 2 (Generation Now/Atlantic) and XXXTENTACION’s 17 (Bad Vibes Forever/Empire) slide gracefully to #2 and #3 with 64k and 51k, respectively. Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar’s widely acclaimed DAMN. (TDE/Interscope) remains on fire, as it continues to hold down the #4 spot with nearly 41k in its 21st week out. Then there are the noteworthy beneficiaries of a $6.99 Labor Day sale at iTunes: Imagine Dragons’ Evolve (KIDinaKORNER/Interscope) leaps #10-5, SZA’s CTRL (TDE/RCA) sprints #17-9, Kesha’s Rainbow (Kemosabe/RCA) holds at #14 and Luke Combs’ This One’s For You (River House/Columbia Nashville) goes #34-20. When it comes to SPS marketshare, SME leads with 37%, UMG is #2 with 34% and WMG rounds out the Top 3 with 23%, while the indies follow with 6%. Streeting this week are albums from Valory/BMLG’s Thomas Rhett, 4AD’s The National, Republic’s Jack Johnson, MCA Nashville’s Kip Moore and Broken Bow’s Dustin Lynch. In closing, we’d like to extend sincere well wishes to everyone affected by hurricanes and other turmoil. We hope to return to our regularly scheduled snark as soon as possible. http://hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=308297
