Mika [214] Album of the Week: Mika 'My Name Is Michael Holbrook' Runner-Up | Adam Lambert 'VELVET: Side A' FUN FACT: 2019 claims another huge record as Mika's "Tiny Love" now has the largest jump of all time (#21-1), beating the 17-spot leap (#18-1) that "Gorilla" by Bruno Mars made all the way back in 2013. Mika just dropped a new album (which is probably his best yet) so that's what sparked his sudden rise. He does have a significant advantage as my countdown was a top 20 before this year and he charted at #21 last week, but he still would've broken the record for Highest Return in that situation. The last notable time this happened was in 2017 with Bleachers (194 plays when 'Gone Now' came out in week 173, then 240 after that.) Plus he put out a music video for it not too long ago. Yeah it has fallen quite a bit recently There's a good chance that this is its final week. Anyway, 13 weeks + a heavy #3 peak is really great for a song from a brand new indie band that only got a simple music video and 1 live performance. Hmm, maybe But most of the chart (mainly top 15) is still in super competitive mode. I'm kinda over this era anyway unless msa or ily is the next single... if there's even going to be one. MusicLoverDude Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Carly Top 5 and Normani still Top 10 I heard Someone You Loved a couple times on the radio the other day. It's an ok song but not something that has totally grown on me yet. Cher Lloyd's song was ok. She hasn't wowed me in a long time unfortunately. I liked Niall Horan's new song. Harleys In Hawaii is kind of overrated on here, but it's definitely better than Small Talk. Lover falling :( . I think this is going to be the single that I still listen to after this year ends. The emotion he puts into it is amazing and probably one of the main reasons it's about to go #1 on Billboard... though it is having quite a messy run on my chart so far (#15-6-14-20). I have to agree I don't know why she's struggling to give us a REALLY good track after Sorry I'm Late. I was expecting better from Niall, at least he's not serving us scraps like Liam & Louis. I wouldn't say I *loved* ME! from first listen but I enjoyed it more than most did Lover (song) is great but it's never been one of my album highlights and the weather is still decently warm here in Florida so it doesn't feel like the best time to put the song on repeat or anything.
