Album of the Week:

Carly Rae Jepsen 'Dedicated' [x2]

e27rm333sez21.png Carly_Rae_Jepsen_-_Dedicated.png

NOTE: All week long I kept thinking about changing this countdown to a top 30 (+5 On Deck) due to the insane amount of new releases,

but decided against it at the last minute. I like to keep my chart as consistent as possible, and I feel like a top 30 would end up being very

temporary. Maybe it'll happen in the future, we'll see. :-*
FUN FACT 1: Even though Aly & AJ are starting to lose some steam, "Star Maps" is still going strong on the Most Played Songs chart.

It has now reached a 4th week at #1 there, which is the 3rd longest reign (but tied w/ 4 other songs.)

FUN FACT 2: Carly beat the Biggest Drop record by 1 spot (see above), which was held by Imagine Dragons & Kendrick Lamar's "Radioactive

(Remix)" for over 5 years! :skull: At least she claimed AOTW once again, and now has 7 of those under her belt (tied for the 6th largest amount.)

DESTINATION: TIMELINE - June 7th #1s:

2014 - Iggy Azalea "Fancy" [x5]
2015 - Ryn Weaver "OctaHate" [x5]
2016 - Ariana Grande "Into You"
2017 - Harry Styles "Sign of the Times" [x7]
2018 - James Bay "Pink Lemonade" [x3]

RETIRED SONG #83:

MAGGIE ROGERS "LIGHT ON"

08c9f595cb.png

FALL-OFFS:

25. Panic!- Hey Look Ma, I Made It [15wks] [#05]
24. Taylor Swift- ME! [5wks] [#03]
23. AJR- 100 Bad Days [16wks] {#04]
22. Charli XCX- Blame It On Your Love [2wks] [#15]
19. Lana Del Rey- Doin' Time [2wks] [#16]
18. OneRepublic- Rescue Me [1wk] [#18]

Wow at Taylor falling off so quickly :hoetenks:

I mean, it is aging a bit already, but the song is still sitting strong in my Top 5 on both the countdown and my Zero Charts.

RIP :'( I still enjoy ME! and think it's overhated but I just don't care to put it on repeat unlike other Taylor leads

sorry if it's a stupid question, how do you build your chart? Cause I see the most played song in a different chart, just v curious :jamming:

Not a stupid question at all! It's basically based on plays but the main countdown is only for official, current singles. The Most Played Songs side chart is for everything. For both, if some songs are tied in plays then I'll rank those based on how much I enjoyed them during that week.

Billie isn't getting replaced nor does she need a replacement and that's THAT!
...just to fall again
Going from three #1s to a lead that underperformed more than End Game :cries: At least she got a top 3?

For sure :gaycat2: Well I wasn't listening to Dedicated as much and NTIFY was mainly doing well because of how often I played the full tracklist, so it stopped benefitting from that. Meanwhile I usually play Too Much on its own now.

FORECAST: Hatchie & Two Door Cinema Club just dropped albums that I have been heavily anticipating,

so expect them to battle over on the two side charts. As for the main countdown, both of them (as well as

incoming debuts) could possibly throw some wrenches into what is already an ultra-competitive top 10.
FUN FACT: This week, "Hard Feelings / Loveless" rose 7 spots on my OVERALL Most Played Songs list. It was previously

at #22 and now it's #15 with 163 scrobbles (meaning i've listened to it for over 16.3 hours.) It is my 2nd most played album

track of all time, only behind Ryn Weaver's "The Fool" (173 scrobbles, went up 1 spot to #13.)

DESTINATION: TIMELINE - June 21st #1s:

2014 - MAGIC! "Rude"
2015 - Ryn Weaver "OctaHate" [x6]
2016 - Cassadee Pope "Summer" [x2]
2017 - Bleachers "Don't Take the Money" [x2]
2018 - Allie X "Focus"

FALL-OFFS:

24. Sigrid- Mine Right Now [4wks] [#16]

23. Foals- Exits [20wks] [#02] RETIRED!

22. Lizzo- Juice [8wks] [#06]
16. Gabbie Hanna- Butterflies [2wks] [#16]

POSSIBLE FUTURE DEBUTS + RETURNS:

Daya "Left Me Yet" [70%]
Foster the People "Imagination" [75%]
Nicki Minaj "MEGATRON" [50%]
half•alive "RUNAWAY" [50%]
WALK THE MOON "Eat Your Heart Out" [90%]

Well, temporarily :gaycat3: But this top 10 is so extremely competitive right now because I love so many of these songs + new ones keep pouring in, so the fact that she could even get to #4 is impressive. Miley is definitely not getting top 10, sorry :keir:

I like it, but she has better songs so far. Well she's only released 6 at this point and I'd put this at #4. I will admit there's a few moments that aren't the best (the "Ooooooh" parts sound a little too altered) though her whole EP was good, especially for a YouTuber.

Well... not for long
