peterstyles13 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Quote This ultra-shrewd artist and her relentless team will make whatever moves are necessary in pursuit of their goal. Taylor is (thanks to 1989’s success) a much bigger star than she was three years ago. And Taylor’s utterly devoted fans will jump on every touchpoint she offers—and she is the queen of fan engagement. We expect Tay and her minions to monitor the landscape with laser focus and adjust her campaign accordingly. http://hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=308118 The article also mentions Adele's album sales.
hud Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 sis there's a thread literally below yours about this
Trent W Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 It's strange that only Taylor and Adele can move album units these days I mean Beyoncé too, but it makes more sense because she makes movies and albums in the same package. And she doesn't even sell the 30% the other two do. I don't understand how is it possible that Taylor and Adele are so seperate from the rest.

Adele appeals to everyone. Taylor has a HUGE fan base who buys their fave music and appeals to the global GP whether atrl wants to admit it or not. Beyoncé doesn't have Taylor fandom size and she has a lot of her regular fans who don't don't necessarily buy her music plus she doesn't maker her music much available to a bigger audience either. There are also other factors

Beyoncé doesn't sell as much because her last few albums haven't been able to stream on Spotify or Apple music . She also doesn't do half the promo they do . Not to mentioned she caters to a different audience With adele & taylor . Once the album drop . That's it . The hype pretty much dies . Beyoncé album & as a artist is talked about even a year later .
Artemisia Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 I don't buy it tbh i think she will do well but I can't see her outdoing 1989

I mean 25 sold 15 million in 2015, 4 million last year and it's over 1 million this year.
SelenaTheWinner Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 And people here said she is over... HA. Queen!

II era. It'll be huge from the getgo because it's riding off of the success of her previous album (even though Red didn't necessarily), but it will probably fizzle out since so much of the success is pushed towards the front of the era.

Also, during this year 25 has also sold more between both albums The thing is Adele and Taylor are just so big, that people see them selling 100k worldwide for weeks and think it's just "okay" when Bey couldn't do that for that long.

I support her, but that just the truth. People need to understand that despite social networks being bigger than ever, many people over 35 do not feel the need to post every single thing / thought online. They been raised in another generation there main communication is talking

Ed sheerans last album was only a million behind 1989. If we're talking globally then he is strong competition for her. It will be interesting to see how she compares with his latest albums WW sales. Of course, her US sales alone will do most of the work.

It wasn't until Blank Space when her celebrity became big imo, so I could see HDD's point.

Mr. Yoso Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Beyonce fans are hilariously pathetic. Adele and Taylor are on a different league singles and albums wise. LOL
