Pharaoh Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 (edited) Quote Kesha leaps from No. 19 to No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart (dated Sept. 2) to become the top musical act in the U.S. for the first time. The Artist 100, which launched in July 2014, measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity. Kesha's jump is powered by her third studio album Rainbow, which arrives at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 117,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Aug. 17, according to Nielsen Music. Album sales contribute the majority of her Artist 100 chart points (80 percent), followed by digital song sales (8 percent). Concurrently, the album's lead single "Praying" hits a new peak (No. 22) on the Billboard Hot 100. http://www.billboard.com/charts/artist-100 Edited August 23, 2017 by Pharaoh
