Konril Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 RHYTHM 328 "Still Loco For Coco!" Chart Date: December 12, 2017 Tracking Dates: December 3 - 9, 2017 Chart delayed again, no wonder I can't commit on a "Best Of". Anyway, I watched Coco for the 6th time, twice on IMAX 2D . Remember Me (Dúo) played during the ending credits sang by Miguel (which is also the name of the protagonist) feat. Natalie Lafourcade still commands the summit of the Arcanean Rhythm (1 - 1). Fake Happy by Paramore makes a solid attempt at knocking off Miguel from the top spot as it rises to its highest peak to date (5 - 2). Live In The Moment by Portugal. The Man was denied the top spot last week and now maintains its position (3 - 3). Recuérdame by Carlos Rivera (Rivera is also the last name of our protagonist, see what Pixar did there?) descends from last week (2 - 4). The Alien by Manchester Orchestra finally elevates inside the Top 5 (6 - 5). The random song Got You Too by Griffin Stoller that I discovered weeks ago continues to go down (4 - 6). Former #1 I Miss You by Clean Bandit had a nice rebound this week (9 - 7), as does Hotter Than Hell by Dua Lipa (10 - 9). Patience is a virtue. Fashion Icon Rita Ora's Anywhere finally enters the Top 10 after being stuck at #11 for 3 weeks (11 - 8) . Norwegian Pop Prodigy Sigrid blasts inside the Top 10 with Strangers ( 17 - 10). Tune in every week for strange songs that fancies my ears. "Remember Me (Dúo)" Miguel (feat. More Gypsy slayage to come. 2 YEARS AGO Rhythm 223 (December 8, 2015) Rachel Platten - Fight Song LMAO. I LOATHE this song when I first heard it. The overtly cheesy inspirational lyrics was just laughable. But something happened to me, I had a bad day once and as cheesy as it may sound, this song inspired me to be better that day. Teehee Up All Night by Beck makes a huge sprint to the summit this week (27 - 1). This is Beck's first #1 in the Arcanean Rhythm. The song was powered to the top when I randomly decided to try an Alternative playlist in Spotify and it grew on me sooooooo much! Remember Me (Dúo) played during the ending credits sang by Miguel (which is also the name of the protagonist) feat. Natalie Lafourcade finally relinquishes the summit after 2 weeks at #1 (1 - 2). Speaking of Coco the other song from the movie Recuérdame by Carlos Rivera (Rivera is also the last name of our protagonist, see what Pixar did there?) continues its descent from last week (4 - 7). Fake Happy by Paramore dips after reaching the peak runner-up position last week (2 - 4). Live In The Moment by Portugal. The Man maintains its position (3 - 3). The Alien by Manchester Orchestra closes our top 5 by maintaining its position last week (5 - 5). The random song Got You Too by Griffin Stoller that I discovered weeks ago continues remains stable (6 - 6). Norwegian Pop Prodigy Sigrid continues her upward movement with Strangers (10 - 8). Fashion Icon Rita Ora's Anywhere retreats (8 - 9), as does Hotter Than Hell by Dua Lipa (9 - 10). Tune in every week for uppity movement of songs that fancies my ears. Justin Jesso - Stargazing [#18] HAIM - Little of Your Love [#19] RETRO RHYTHM Throwback Number Ones 6 YEARS AGO Rhythm 16 (December 20, 2011) Lana Del Rey - Born To Die Arguably the most hyped and most anticipated Tumblr pop girl of 2011. Miss Grant captured the hearts of ATRL like no other back in 2011 and with this stunning somber song coupled with what would known to be a the start of a very stunning videography. BTD serves as an amazing song to her discography. 4 YEARS AGO Rhythm 120 & 121 (December 17 & 24, 2013) Lady Gaga - Gypsy nnn; for some reason I miscounted and made a mistake with the proper weeks of 2013 to coincide with the other year and 2013 is behind 1 week . So I just combined 2 weeks worth of Gypsy slayage. That makes it 6 weeks at #1. 2 YEARS AGO Rhythm 224 (December 15, 2015) 2NE1 - Happy 2NE1 would return to the stage with a performance in MAMA after going on hiatus probably due to Bom's drug scandal. And once I saw them reunited once again, I decided to listen back to their CRUSH album and what stick to me the most was Happy. That would ultimately be their last performance. Sad, but still what K-Pop legends. With Happy, this would be the 1st K-Pop song in my chart . Thank you guys for the support! For once I uploaded on a Tuesday. After battling it out for how many weeks, Fake Happy by Paramore finally ascends to become the last #1 for 2017 (4 - 1). This is Paramore's 4th #1 this year. Consequently, this marks the 4th #1 for the album After Laughter (Hard Times, Told You So, Rose-Colored Boy). The Man maintains its position (3 - 3). The Alien by Manchester Orchestra closes our top 5 by maintaining its position last week (5 - 5). Crybaby by Paloma Faith becomes this week's greatest gainer and enters the Top 10. (22 - 6). Norwegian Pop Prodigy Sigrid continues her upward movement with Strangers (8 - 7). The random song Got You Too by Griffin Stoller that I discovered weeks ago descends (6 - 8). Fashion Icon Rita Ora's Anywhere remains stuck (9 - 9), as does Hotter Than Hell by Dua Lipa (10 - 10). The tumbler pop princess continues to dominate with the title track of her first album and wow, that debut album was a masterpiece. 4 YEARS AGO Rhythm 122 (December 31, 2013) Pitbull - Timber (feat. Ke$ha) Gypsy by Lady Gaga is finally unseated from the #1 after 6 weeks by Ke$ha (and yeah Pitbull). This country-influence pop song closes 2013 and gave Ke$ha her 3rd #1 (3rd for Pitbull). The next thing I heard from Ke$ha is her legal battles with Dr. Luke. Thanks heavens she got away and released Praying. 2 YEARS AGO Rhythm 225 & 226 (December 22 & 29, 2015) Grimes - Flesh Without Blood I was a big lover of the mumbling and almost unrecognizable lyrics of Grimes' Visions album of which Genesis and Oblivion are my favorite. But Art Angels took it to the next level, with her lead single being more poppy. Flesh Without Blood is without a doubt my favorite Grimes song (that is until if her next album will deliver).
