Konril Posted November 29, 2017 Author Posted November 29, 2017 RHYTHM 326 "Got You More Dua!" Chart Date: November 28, 2017 Tracking Dates: November 19 - 25, 2017 2 days late, I was doing chart revisions. The random song Got You Too by Griffin Stoller that I discovered weeks ago secures a 2nd week at #1 (1 - 1) but Portugal. The Man's Live In The Moment could challenge it next week as it makes a leap to the runner-up spot (6 - 2). ... Ready For It? by Taylor Swift is unmoved this week (3 - 3), as well as Havana by Fifth Harmony escapee Camila Cabello feat. Young Thug (4 - 4). Former #1 I Miss You by Clean Bandit continues its descent (2 - 5). Sometimes the Arcanean Rhythm moves fast for some songs. The Alien by Manchester Orchestra continues it invasion (9 - 6). HAIM's Little Of Your Love trickles down (5 - 7). Fake Happy by Paramore makes another jump as it successfully re-entered last week (10 - 8) With the departure of New Rules by Dua Lipa this week, all of the inaugural songs from Rhythm 312 finally left the Top 10. But Dua manages to offset the departure of her song by debuting 2 new songs. New Rules (Initial Talk Remix), the 80s remix enters at #10 (I hope this counts as New Rules' chart points in YTT Top 40). Another Dua track, Hotter Than Hell debuts at at #9. These songs blocked Fashion Icon Rita Ora's Anywhere from entering the Top 10. Tune in every week for a dose of haphazars selections of songs that fancies my ears. Truth be told, I was introduced to this song when I visited the YTT section back in 2011. Thank you YTT for introducing me to this amazing band. 4 YEARS AGO Rhythm 117 (November 19, 2013) Lady Gaga - Do What U Want (feat. R. Kelly) Don't you know this ass is famous? And it surely did with that single cover. This song manages to disrupt Gypsy's run at #1. Too bad no official video was released and with the outburst of sexual harrassment accusations this year, it would be too controversial. Still this sultry-tinged R&B influenced song is amazingly catchy. 2 YEARS AGO Rhythm 221 (November 24, 2015) Grimes - Kill V. Maim B-E-H-A-V-E, arrest us! Italiana mobster looking so precious. B-E-H-A-V-E, never more! You gave up being good when you declared a state of war!!! I mean wow, Grimes booming voice elevates this song to epic proportion. Thank you guys for the support! Konril Posted December 6, 2017 Author Posted December 6, 2017 RHYTHM 327 "El Talento Siempre Gana!" Chart Date: December 5, 2017 Tracking Dates: November 26 - December 2, 2017 My charts gets delayed more and more each week. What happens when in a span of 1 week, you watch the same movie 4 times? It messes up your chart BIGLY! So this week I watched Coco by Disney/Pixar 4 times already and planning on a 5th rewatch. It's core theme about family really, really resonated with me and I was holding back tears everytime during the ending. Remember Me (Dúo) played during the ending credits becomes our Hot Shot debut at #1 sang by Miguel (which is also the name of the protagonist) feat. Natalie Lafourcade. If Remember Me (Dúo) is the more upbeat celebration of remembering someone, Recuérdame by Carlos Rivera (Rivera is also the last name of our protagonist, see what Pixar did there?) is the more sombering one. It debuts at #2. Live In The Moment was denied the top spot and regresses (2 - 3). The random song Got You Too by Griffin Stoller that I discovered weeks ago relinquishes the top after spending 2 weeks at the summit (1 - 4). Fake Happy by Paramore makes a huge jump going straight inside the Top 5. (8 - 5) The Alien by Manchester Orchestra remains stable (6 - 6). These two go hand-in-hand like peanut butter and jelly, ... Ready For It? by Taylor Swift takes a huge tumble (3 - 7), not to be outdone Havana by Fifth Harmony escapee Camila Cabello feat. Young Thug also plunges (4 - 8). Former #1 I Miss You by Clean Bandit continues its descent (5 - 9). Hotter Than Hell steps down a notch (9 - 10). Once again the arrival of new songs blocked Fashion Icon Rita Ora's Anywhere from entering the Top 10 for a 3rd week. Tune in every week for a dose of out-of-sync songs that fancies my ears. Rihanna, Kid Cudi & Fergie) The sheer magnitude of the collaboration of artists in this song is just astounding. One of my favorites from My Dark Beautiful Twisted Fantasy (along with Runaway), this song is just pure ecstasy. The opening horn just blasts you to a grandiose and an epic song. 4 YEARS AGO Rhythm 118 (December 3, 2013) Lady Gaga - Gypsy Ah. The globe-trotting song returns back to the top after being knocked off the top by its ARTPOP sibling. RedOne's songwriting did that. 2 YEARS AGO Rhythm 222 (December 1, 2015) Grimes - Kill V. Maim The underground vampire inspired music video remains at the top for the 3rd week. This song (and the Artangels album in general) is much more booming than the atmospheric Visions but never the less, such a fine song and album. Thank you guys for the support!
