Konril Posted January 2, 2018 Author Posted January 2, 2018 RHYTHM 331 "Leaving 2017, Living In 2018." Chart Date: January 2, 2018 Tracking Dates: December 24 - 30, 2017 HAPPY NEW YEAR Y'ALL!!! Right on schedule, on a Tuesday. With a busy holiday season, not that much has change within the Arcanean Rhythm. After battling it out for how many weeks, Live In The Moment by Portugal. The Man finally gets a spot at the top. This is Portugal. The Man's 2nd #1 after the Rhythm 2017 Year End Song, Feel It Still. As you can see, the Arcanean Rhythm has more on a fast turn overs of #1s but occasionally there are songs that stick to the top long, but lately, 1 weeker #1s are the norm. Fake Happy by Paramore, the last #1 for 2017 slips to the runner-up spot (1 - 2). Crybaby by Paloma Faith could bid for the #1 next week as it leaps ahead towards a Top 3 placement (6 - 3). Up All Night by Beck recedes (2 - 4). Norwegian Pop Prodigy Sigrid gains major traction with Strangers as it enters the Top 5 (7 - 5). Remember Me (Dúo) played during the ending credits sang by Miguel (which is also the name of the protagonist) feat. Natalie Lafourcade continues to move down (4 - 6). Hotter Than Hell by Dua Lipa, reaches a new peak (10 - 7). The Alien by Manchester Orchestra now descends after 3 consecutive week at its peak of #5 last week (5 - 8). Fashion Icon Rita Ora's Anywhere remains stuck for a 3rd week (9 - 9). Got You Too by Griffin Stoller that I discovered weeks ago descends and closes our Top 10 (8 - 10). The lower songs are... still a mess. Tune in every week for songs that fancies my ears in 2018. "Live In The Moment"Portugal. The ManWoodstock 1 3 12 "Remember Me (Dúo)" Miguel (feat. Heck I love Top Of The World by The Cataracs feat. Dev. But then she got pregnant and just slowly went out of the biz. I didn't even pay attention to her EP and her new album. Whatever, Lightspeed is an amazing song from her debut album. That cough is still iconic. 4 YEARS AGO Rhythm 123 (January 07, 2014) Disclosure - F For you The Lawrence Brothers continued their chart domination with F For You. One of the few tracks without any features (except when Mary J. Blige was invited on a feature remix). This bopping sound showcased that they can create an amazing sound even without a vocalist. 2 YEARS AGO Rhythm 227 (January 05, 2016) Grimes - Flesh Without Blood Grimes continues her domination towards a new year of 2016 with the lead single from her Critically Acclaimed Art Angels album which she solely wrote (except for that one feature) and produced. My god, was that album amazing! Then I checked her first album and it was cute too. From there I always check on her music. Her 3rd album was also a heartbreaking masterpiece. 4 YEARS AGO Rhythm 124 (January 14, 2014) Ellie Goulding - Goodness Gracious Oh wow, another Elena Jane song how surprising. Buoyed by a stellar neon lights video. This song went straight to #1. This is one of her best songs and her best video, NO QUESTIONS. 2 YEARS AGO Rhythm 228 (January 12, 2016) Grimes - Flesh Without Blood Onward to a 4th week at #1. I was really happy that her new album was critically received. Since after the release of Go (which I also bopped too), she was accused of selling out, when Grimes herself claims that she absolutely love Pop music. You do you Miss Claire!
