The way you utilized your meter to make certain words and lines pop was brilliant. The verses read like a wave, rolling in and out of your words before landing on rhymes, until the phrase “I think we need to talk” abruptly stopped everything, drawing specific attention to it. I kind of loved this song from the title alone, but the chorus just exemplified why the title was so perfect. The first two lines of the chorus were both emotive and thoughtful in a very powerful way. “The moving van is waiting to erase you from my life” honestly gave me chills.
