I'm screaming at this gif. Her skin is literally white and she speaks in such a serious tone it's like she's explaining the rules of the Hunger Games.

Is there a full video?

You can submit anything as long as it's short, like 250-ish words or less. But going a little over won't matter.

I wrote a whole song and it's 350 words, hmm I might cut the 2nd verse

Yeah that might be a fraction too long but Jackson is really the only one who can make that call.

I didn't find that out until people started mentioning it the other day :skull:

i think @FCKNAmbrosia had a 700 word song that got like #1 or something in 10.5

It was just a top 10 hit :fan:

but I'm glad it had impact.

i prefer longer songs tbh, i feel stunted sometimes with shorter songs; this time wasn't one of those thankfully :heart2:

As a judge, I prefer shorter songs that can effectively use their words, though if you need an essay to tell your story, and it's a compelling one, then go ahead.

As a contestant, I also prefer shorter songs because there's less room for me to fuck up with bad lines, or just have flat out boring/underwhelming ones.

Yeah, very good points. Like with everything, it depends on the situation. A short song where every lyric counts and has an impact and shows imagery or delivers emotion is obviously gonna be better than a long song with lots of filler lyrics that seem disjointed and just go on for a verse too long or what have you. But I think in general I'd prefer a longer song where every lyric counts, has impact etc. than a short one, because there's simply more to love.

Also sorry for doing "Erased" despite your comments. :fan: I mean I agree with them, but that kinda just made me want to do it even more! I just hope I've done it somewhat justice.
