but no, seriously, if you like it then go for Illinois and Seven Swans, I'd say go for Age of Adz, The BQE, A Sun Came and The Avalanche at last cause they are a bit less accessible and they can be off putting at points

Okay so this was...not what I expected for this challenge. I expected more people to go the symbolic route, and write about what their stone symbolizes. Not saying you had to though. Instead, you opted to use color imagery as a metaphor for self expression and I like it, though I don't know that it fit Opal super well. In a way, the generality of this song could've fit any of the categories, so that dulled the experience a bit.  And along with that, I actually don't mind that there aren't any rhymes because it still flows really well. One more thing is that the whole "blink" motif didn't really click with me - I get why it's there, but it didn't feel too integral to the song, or it at least felt like it didn't need to be.

But yes! That was definitely a MAJOR problem I ran into when writing my song. When I read it, it kind of didn't embody Opal as much as I was anticipating. So I definitely played up and emphasised the colour aspect more - it's why I mentioned the word "colour(s)" like 1634215461 times     I totally get what you meant about the blink motif. I feel like I could've executed it better but at the same time I didn't want to make my song too long..................................

fff I seriously need to find that balance. I found a balance in 10.5 but for some reason this season I lost it    ajkfhkajf I think I'll try different approaches in future rounds cause if I don't explore, I won't really know what works best for me since so far this season I've been writing my songs with pretty much the same formula and technique   nnn the self-clock !

A Love In A Lie's average is definitely higher than 6.5, Escape the Heavens and Blink I'm not too sure
