Does anyone know where the streams for Tay-K "The Race" are coming from?

It's #33 on streaming songs. That's something in the 10 million range...

It's not top 200 on Spotify, not top 20 on US Youtube, not top 50 on HDD on-demand streaming chart, not in the Pandora top 100, not in the Soundcloud top 50.

Guess it's from Youtube? There is a video that has 20M views, but it should be at least top 10 on US Youtube and it's not...

@J-boy Nobody has mentioned the actual points yet, right?

Despacito 568 and Wild Thoughts we didn't get streaming and sales numbers... But ~393. It's weird that they said it's only down 2%. Seems more like 3 or 4% to me... With it dropping to #4 on streaming songs and Bodak Yellow being #2 with just 31.4M. WT had 34.8M last week...

Kworb uses the same Youtube insights page as a source that I use too... It's not there.

Last tracking week there was "Murder She Wrote" also from Tay-K at #18... Through that I found his artist page (just putting his name in didn't work)

Tay-K

"The Race" apparently had 1.2M US Youtube views last week... That is very strange.

It's #19 on AM and has been increasing of late, so there's some contribution there

430 weeks is impressive.
Ugh No frauds would have hit around 20 weeks right now and he'd at least be eligible for recurrent but possibly still in the top 50 if No frauds were a big hit.

Congrats to Drake because that is very exceptional to have that kind of longevity in any genre

:clap3:

Mess. This isn't a good enough reason to release on a Thursday.

The examples they use were going to smash either way and a song's longevity has nothing to do with this.

Higher chart peaks and debuts are more beneficial than a few social media posts.

Flop strategy.

Nailed it. Why have a low debut and good longevity when you could have a high debut and good longevity? (or a low debut with no longevity—the worst-case scenario—when you could at least get a high peak even if the song tanks afterwards)

impressed by drakes record and surprised he doesnt have any song on the h100 rn tbh

Bodak isnt Cardi's debut single either as already discussed in the single thread :skull: (its her first single under a major label if were being technical I guess)

and I suppose the user meant its their first chart entries/debuts cuz neither of their singles charted on the Hot 100 prior to Fancy / Bodak

"Work" peaked at #54 on the Hot 100 prior to Fancy.

^ Work only charted on the Hot 100 AFTER Fancy.

On it's original release, if I remember correctly it only made Bubbling Under and top 50 on rhythmic.

I really think they should have re-released it, clearly people were into the song.

people really like despacito that much?:rip:

Gap is still pretty big and discount effect is basically a 1 time thing... It likely won't sell more next week. Not much less either, but WT is not stopping Despacito from tying the record at least

if magically the rate was the same next week, bieber would still be on top.

So next week WT will have more points than some songs that went #1 earlier this year and last year....
