brianc33710 Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Okay. The Nielsen Sound Scan information is not available. The article only provides the airplay totals and some raw data on Hunt's Body Like A Back Road, which broke Cruise's 24 week run 2012-3.

Jim went ahead and posted what he could without the Nielsen/SS data. So I don't know what time today we will get the full results.
James_Dean Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Billboard is gonna pull some shady rule change just like they did for Blackout to debut at #2 instead of 1
brianc33710 Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Depending on how my neck feels later today, how much time I need to drive for UBER, and reformatting my Thesis, I may resume writing my airplay articles (Active Rock, Alternative/AAA, and Country). I will try to drive earlier so that I can get those pieces out, for the first time in about a year.

The Eagles have always seemed to get special treatment by not just BB, but also the RIAA. How that Eagles album was certified 7XP for 3.2 M in sales still confounds me all of these years later.
iHype. Posted August 1, 2017 Author Posted August 1, 2017 Quote The release of this week’s Billboard’s non-airplay charts, including Hot Country Songs and Top Country Albums, is delayed due to data issues. Because of this, the corresponding charts are not included in this edition of Billboard Country Update it continues fld; data issues. Literally a HBTB 2.0
ilovemusic432 Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Hopefully Hot 100 and Billboard 200 comes soon

The track rises to the top with a 312% gain in the wake of its Sept. 9 music video premiere. Only one song this year has sold more in a week: Katy Perry's "Roar," which debuted at No. 1 with 557,000. This week, "Roar" slips from No. 1 to No. 2 with 331,000, down 11%. the peak of an era
Gaia Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 nnnn Billboard is always a kii. They a truly a terrible tracking company

OMG, do you remember the meltdowns when Demi was actually #2, and then the "Hotline Bling" mess. I was actually happy for Pentatonix since they sold the most. What a fun week Also a shady photo for the article:

And Drake releasing on Apple instead of Vevo screwed him that #1.

elemonated Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 I'm looking forward.mp3 to walking up and seeing that Meek is #1 and ATRL's fumes.
Cazy Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 The artice isn't out yet? Billboard must be hard at work counting all those streams and ****.
State of Grace. Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 literally what "data issues" when we already have the data, all they had to do was publish the damn article well it was fun while it lasted.

In The Eagles case such negotiations were required from/with their data supplier. unlike this week, the race wasn't even close between it and blackout... one kf of the best rule chsnges BB has ever made. I agree it was a good idea. But the questionable time, given the special consideration the band by the RIAA. For example Greatest Hits 1971-5, at 2.9 Diamond, is way over certified; Billboard confronted the RIAA as to how an album with ~900k in sales in the given period of time also increased by 8 M, 1.4 Diamond to 2.2 Diamond. The RIAA couldn't come up with an answer.
