There is no gap between these two of more than 40 million streams. Not when Tyler was doing amazing on Spotify.

alexanderao Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Meek's 86M figure isn't suspicious to me. HNDRXX, which didn't do well on Spotify (but still better than Meek), started with 94.5 million streams earlier this year. What is suspicious is that Billboard has said absolutely nothing today and refrained from even revealing the Hot 100 top 10— which is completely unrelated to this mess.
Green Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 No countdown for the Hot 100 top 10 today. I blame stupid TIDAL for this

To clarify, not saying that I'm 100% certain Tidal didn't report, but I wouldn't be shocked if they didn't. If they did, then he did pretty terribly considering the circumstances (which I guess wouldn't be surprising either cause he was already on track to do really badly)

Isn't Nielsen their source? And the only one? The HBTB situation was caused by them getting wrong numbers from Nielsen And i hope they're taking their time because they're trying to figure out what to do about Tifrauds streams

Tidal streams would also effect his positions on Hot 100 so the Hot 100 is somewhat relative to the situation
Green Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Billboard literally like this right now after Jay Z's call:

Several times a year they don't get it done on Mondays, not all of which are holidays. it sounds like this issue has been a thing in the offices over the weekend. It's very likely many spent many hours in meetings, and didn't have time to write an article. Do you REALLY think ALL people working at Billboard are on a meeting? There are job positions specifically for chart articles writing. They are most likely in talks with Labels and Streaming Services regarding the mess that ocurred this week and therefore delaying the BB200 and Hot100 articles.
Little Dark Age Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 this is officially the biggest mess since the HBTB fiasco

They could have just revealed the top 10 normally and ignored questions about Meek...

umich Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 @iHype. remember when they delayed the article and debuted the YouTube streams into the formula. That thread was a kii
UNNAMI Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 if they announce new formula and despacito won't be number 1 I will be mad as hell

They originally reported that HBTB sold like 250,000 in the first week but retracted their statement hours later when they revealed that Nielsen made an error in the data, and she truly only sold 65,000.
Green Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Maybe that Meek (?) guy has a song in the top 10 thanks to massive TIDAL streams that we don't know yet
