Is Rihanna #1 yet?

No... And she still has A LOT of catching up to do to dethrone "Despacito".

But I was told two weeks ago he'd never have his album tracks chart because he's not a streaming artist.

After Jay-Z, next up, Chris Brown to flood the charts.

I think I said something like he's not that relevant anymore to have his full album charting, but he released a way better album than I ever would have expected, not the trash that he released in the last years.

Yeah. That would make me really mad, since it needs all 52 of those weeks in the Top 40 to matchup with its longevity at the top.

I'm not so sure about Chris Brown. The way he blasts his fans for streaming, instead of buying, his music has alienated many of the supporters he still had left.

Sheeran will get 26 weeks in the Top 5 to finish his first six months there without dropping below #5. Given how "chart-savvy" as people on here have described him, I can't help but think his Today Show performance wasn't timed without taking this record into consideration.

Also, with the Today performance and the upcoming VMAs, SOY looks like it will go past the 2.5 M downloads I had expected. I'm still reluctant to go with 3 M though, so I'll say 2.65-2.75 M. Closer and Hello, and their parent albums, should both get boosts from the show too. This should speed up their trips to 3 M and 5 M, respectively, at least a little.

"Hello" won't receive any boost from the VMAs... What are you talking about?

I was thinking Adele might be up for some award there this year. It's not for Hello, but I'm sure she's up for some awards. Even if she doesn't win, this would lead to a small boost for her entire catalog.

She hasn't released any videos since Send My Love which already got a nomination last year along with Hello.

No... She isn't up for any award, since the last video she released was "Send My Love" in May, 2016 and it was already nominated at the 2016's VMAs.

Oh okay. I thought there might be some video for the fourth release.

It seems like "Shape Of You" will also break the record for the most weeks in Top 10 for a debuting song also in Top 10. How many weeks did "Love Yourself" spend here?

Doesn't matter how many weeks "Love Yourself" spent in the top 10, since it doesn't hold the record, the current record holders fot the most weeks inside the top 10 are The Chainsmokers with "Closer". The song debuted at #9 and went on to spend 32 consecutive weeks inside the top 10.

It does matter.  Not just the record holder matters.  The whole history of the record matters.

if Inge like that didn5 metter, there would just be a chart with #1 and nothing else.

Well, I thought they were asking for the record holder :michael:

UF's and Rimes' song also had 30+ week consecutive runs in the Top 10. Smooth, PRA, and Jewel's double sided hit had to return to the Top 10 after falling out to get to and past 26 T 10 weeks.
