It was always getting Vacation/Writings on the Wall’d. Malone songs usually perform similar on Apple Music too. Absolutely no artist in general has a song go top 10 on Spotify while struggling top 200 on Apple Music. Even PARTYNEXTDOOR type artists would be top 10 on both Spotify/Apple Music with Drake/Rihanna features. There’s never a difference that big between a song on the platforms. It’s even charting below Better Now on Apple Music. Make it make sense. Actually Tommy Lee was on New Music Friday the day of release then TTH a few days later, Post actually posted it and he usually does worse on Apple Music after a couple days. Post is a lot bigger on Spotify than Apple Music and Post and French don't have the same managers. There prolly is something going on though Better Now is a Posty classic and it's still doing great on US Spotify and this is a Post feature not a song that went #3 and has had built in longevity

iHype. Posted June 25, 2020 Posted June 25, 2020 This does show that in my opinion you probably cannot directly pay for Today's Top Hits though. Tyga and his manager paid for fake Spotify's streams & YouTube streams, yet they didn't make Today's Top Hits. I think it would've just been easier (and more efficient) to pay for TTH. Fake streams won't make real people interested, however playlisting exposure can. I think their intention was to get playlist exposure after charting high due to bought streams then that would lead to real streams.

Spotify has spoken out about accusations that labels pay for playlist placements. According to them, it's not true and that's why they're constantly revolving songs on their most popular playlists. If your song gets a lot of engagement, it rises up on a playlist. If it gets less, it goes down. I think that's how they explained it.
