Just like Sunset Boulevard and All About Eve, The Substance will be a classic in the way these two movies are, since they all share the same theme but are explored in different ways.

The thing is, this was successful from the get go, both commercially and critically. This might aswell be referred to as a classic classic a time goes on unless its hype and references die down quickly on the following years.
