A series of large-scale beat 'em ups with the common thread being the ability to play from multiple sides, killing hundreds in a single battle, and various light RPG elements. Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors are the most prevalent of the series, with dozens of expansions and sequels between them

 

 

 

 

 

Any fans here? I only played Hyrule Warriors AOC and I loved it but I also bought DW 8 Xtreme and Orochi 3 U yesterday so I can't wait to play it

I always enjoy them for a bit and then never play them again. I've heard most players find them zen, but I get so stressed with the objectives and I can't read maps at all, so I feel like a headless chicken running around. I should give the ones I have another go though.

my favorite franchise next to pkmn. DW8 and WO3 are both fab titles. WO3 might be the best game they've ever made and there's just so much content to it. DW8 is good, but can feel a little outdated - even though its newer than WO3. I've played through both many, many times though. Bought SW4, 4-II and Spirit of Sanada on steam last year so one day I will get around to playing them (and then play SW5 again after). SW5 is my personal favorite title, even if they cut my girl again. Origins was a lot of fun but I'm not sure how I feel about it as a whole bc it was so different, maybe too much so. Interested to see a full DW10 in that engine though. 

 

I do struggle to find interest in the spin-off titles though as I feel they're very clunky in comparison to the main three serieses. Arslan I'd like to play again someday but need it to get cheaper on steam. I enjoyed Three Hopes a lot though. The new HW gives me hope we may still yet get FEW:Engage.
