Just started playing it. I'm really digging the art style, tone and story of the game, however the low quality cutscenes and the FPS cap on cutscenes is reaaaally throwing me off. You're on a stunning place then the ugly color banding filled cutscene begins...

Yeah. Apparently there's a mod that fixes the issue but mods aren't working on the Game Pass version

Dang  I had that issue with the FF13 port on Steam where certain scenes were obviously pre-rendered, with shoddy quality compared to the scenes that were actually being rendered. Hope they fix that for Clair Obscur!

For me mods work on the game and I play on Game Pass. I use the one that gives double loot from enemies

Just finished act 2....

This is definitely winning Best Narrative at the Game Awards

Narrative + Music & Score + Art Direction + (maybe if not Split Fiction or some other amazing game comes alomg) Game Directing will probably result in Game of the Year

 

Also, clocked Devora WildeGEND as CleaThe character actress that she is... totally different from Lae'zel
