You do not have to run a perfect campaign to be against genocide. Kamala did run a terrible campaign that disengaged voters. Were there voters that were never going to vote for her? Of course. But reducing her loss to just being about identity is lazy and also the reason we will likely never see a female presidential candidate (let alone one of color) for a long time. Kamala had several strategic mistakes that were avoidable. We can learn from those lessons, but only if people choose to stop reducing the details of her loss to identity.
