Future Lover Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Olivia Munn isn't over the moon about the upcoming Blue Origin mission with an all-female space crew. While serving as co-host on the April 3 episode of Today With Jenna and Friends, the actress questioned the need for the mission, which is set to include Lauren Sánchez, Gayle King, and Katy Perry. "What are they doing?" the Your Friends and Neighbors star, 44, asked of the crew, which also includes former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen and film producer Kerianne Flynn. "I know this probably isn't the cool thing to say," she added, per Page Six. "But there are so many other things that are so important in the world right now." She later added, "What are you guys gonna do up in space? What are you doing up there?" https://people.com/olivia-munn-blasts-all-female-blue-origin-space-crew-for-gluttonous-mission-11708836 5 2 2 1
Scabandplaster Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Who has ever cared about her opinion? I used to love the girl tbh, it's a shame. 1 3
sciencemagic Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago She's right. Purely a vanity project for Ms Perry et al 9
Popular Post Kayseri Mantisi Posted 19 hours ago Popular Post Posted 19 hours ago if you read the whole article she has actually made several points and spilled - "What are they doing?" - "If you wanna go to space, why do you need to tell us about it, you know? It's just like, go up there, have a good time, come on down." - "I know this is probably obnoxious, but like, it's so much money to go to space, and there's a lot of people who can't even afford eggs." - She also pondered the environmental impact, saying, "This is a lot of resources being spent." - Bush Hager added the crew intended to be in full glam during the mission, to which Munn responded, "What? They said this out loud?!" - "What's the point? Is it historic that you guys are going on a ride? I think it's a bit gluttonous," she said. "Space exploration was to further our knowledge and to help mankind. What are they gonna do up there that has made it better for us down here?" 12 5
Doctor Dick Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago If Olivia Munn did her research she'd know Katy Perry is promoting her music and brand and trying to conquer another planet after this one failed her. "Woman's World" #1 on Proxima Centauri b. 3
Hitchhiker Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago It's so sad how going to space was such a cool thing when I was younger but now it's lame and became an ego project for celebrities and billionaires. 11
GraceRandolph Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago She spilled. The photoshoot just made it even more egregious. 3 1
HausOfPunk Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago They should have sent my girl Gaga up there to look for evidence (of extraterrestrial life) 6
dumbsparce Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Not op framing it as a sexist attack when nothing about the crew members' gender was said 1

playboi Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I'm happy for them and if I had their privilege I would do it too. 1
Onyxmage Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago They are going up there because they want to and its a once in a lifetime experience. What exactly is she doing to help humanity? Of course ATRL would agree with this bitter hag. Such lifeless losers.
The7thStranger Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago The other side to this argument is that it could get more people excited about space exploration. NASA, for example, has been under attack for years, with people calling astronomic research a major waste of money. SpaceX keeps failing miserably. Perhaps this could have a positive outcome in the long run. Granted, the fact that they are going up there with a Bezos-owned company does make the whole thing seem frivolous. I guess we'll have to see how things turn out.
