The industry plant accusations are tired

I am pretty sure there are people who get advantages while entering the industry due to their background etc and hey I think this is a symptom of capitalism and there is merit to analysing and maybe critiquing this but y'all the way people keep accusing any pop star they don't like is wild lol.

I will probably sound like a Stan but the amount of people I've seen accuse doechii of being shoved down our throats doesn't even make sense, ladies and gentlemen the biggest pop stars of all time became that because of the push of their labels so that doesn't even make sense, the labels pushes an artist then it's up to the public to decide if they like the artist so like gworrlllll what are people saying?????????

You're right, and its usually targeted towards artists that people don't like

However, this girl deserves all the lashings for being a legit industry plant/nepo baby

What plant are you defending right now? Spill the tea.

In the year of 2025 if a popstar comes along and achieves great popularity it's because there was money behind them helping to market them to a wider audience, 99% of the time.

Honestly I don't take seriously the success of big label new artists anymore

They buy fake plays, autoplay and playlisting

The stream debut on the millions is always paid for

Tbh the independent artists with 100ks or few millions of plays that have no connections to big labels are way way more impressive

You listened a Gracie Abrams song by mistake and you end up liking it, didn't you?

:clack:

They probably listened to Close To You because, let's face it, that song is a bop. Can't blame them tho.

How's this any different to 2000s/10s artists that had labels buying them airplay and getting their songs to the Top 10 or #1?

OT: Agreed except for Disgracie

Labels have always done this

But right now we have more access to independent artists that are more real without the corporate BS

Big labels are a cancer to music, they need to disappear

It's just something bitter gays made up to explain away the success of (mostly women lol) they don't like or understand :skull:

I wish there are more industry plants, so the labels are actually doing their job

Unless you're a nobody who makes music in their room and uploads it online, how can someone not be an "industry plant"? Labels obviously want a return of investement so yeah the term itself is silly at its core.

Gracie Abraham's fans will do anything to defend her. I blame Taylor for promoting someone so basic. Compare to her who extremely accomplished and very talented musically. Very disappointed in Taylor for that action.
