she likes to start her new songs in an annoying way, just as Delusional

Let's be real, Joyride was released in the midst of the whole "Katy Perry is working with Dr. Luke" drama, so that definitely helped, as most people online sided with Kesha, and it worked as a free promo for her.

We already saw that Delusional struggled to achieve the same amount of success. Yes, I know it wasn't that good of a song and that releasing it randomly during the pre-Xmas period didn't help matters, but it's going to take some time before this one rises in streams, tbh.

(If it doesn't, they still have the time to pretend it never happened and release Boy Crazy as a proper lead single instead)

:suburban:

I refuse to believe Joyride's success was just a fluke? But at first, I was so sure that her team had turned things around with how strong this era started and how Holiday Road was apparently going viral.

Please don't tell me she is buying views/ads for YKY - the likes and view/comment ratio don't match. That feels pointless, who does that benefit.. It seems like Delusional and YKY have significantly derailed the hype and direction of this era and caused people to count her out, before the album is even out. I saw a lot of mixed opinions in the Kesha discord server and Twitter, but my local friend loved Holiday Road.

it's surprisingly stable on iTunes and gaining attraction on Tik Tok and YouTube

iTunes is an outdated metric no? It doesn't take a lot to be stable on there because it has less users, so you just need a somewhat small but loyal fanbase like Kesha has to purchase the song.

We should like and comment on all the TikTok videos to boost them further.

T-Pain version rly makes the song for me. those added harmonies and intro are just sublime

Hopefully when/if the song gains momentum she starts selling 7 inch vinyls for the single so the song might chart. It's to early now, needs to gain some momentum. T-Pain version on main side, solo on the opposite side.

The streaming is not lining up with the Tiktok/YT views. Her upload on tiktok of the lyric video almost gained 1M views today alone :deadbanana2:

Where is the music video??? Who is managing her :biblio:

If YKY being promoted as an ad is true—which I'd assume it is considering the views to likes and comments ratio—then the views don't really mean much :gaycat7:

It's off, like Crush was doing a perfect Job with her career, she got reintroduced by performing on different festivals around the world, Joyride was an amazing buzz single, the marketing behind the period is genius but…what else? I wonder what their plan is, that or they were hoping for an organic hit, ooooor Kesha's budget wasn't as high to get her some promo.

6. High Road

For me, Gag Order is her best album. I love the depth of some tracks and the alternative feel of others. I can't really explain why, but despite its non-mainstream aspect, the record was on repeat for at least a year at my place. By the way, here's my personal ranking of her albums.

Joyride MV was released 4 months later, so what's surprising about this? They dropped the lyric video immediately though for this song.

The album campaign is 3 months long, they won't go all out with the promo for this song. Maybe she'll perform it on the Kelly Clarkson show in two weeks.

Look at what RCA did with High Road, they wasted all the promo on Raising Hell, then it didn't take off and nothing was happening during the last two months before the album release. Granted, the album got postponed two times which wasn't planned originally, but still.

I'm sure many things will be happening down the road, but spread out over the next 3 months.

they're def pushing yippee as an ad on youtube. the views do not match the likes or comments whatsoever.

there's multiple comments addressing it, such as one from about an hour ago saying, "had this as an ad, came to drop a dislike ❤️" ...that comment is annoying me heavily, like leave your hate to yourself pls.

unsure if this is a good promo strategy, but at least crush is doing something to help her out! i've seen other artists use this strategy, but i don't remember if it worked for them.
