As for a debut it's an uphill battle, if this is the lead which I'd assume it is, it will probably not peak in week one. She'll have to play the long game. 2

Wasn't aware they were releasing both versions, that's good. And yeah the long game is always smart to play.

Hmm… not exactly sure. But this could really work. 28 minutes ago, collin said: It's more likely to get her a hit than sexy electropop. That's what is important for her right now. 26 minutes ago, collin said: It's stuck in my head after one. That's why we like this 2
gettsleazy Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Way smart to release this on Thursday btw. If word of mouth is positive the Friday numbers will be great with playlisting... 2 1

It's okay if we don't get crazy playlisting right away. It'll matter more down the line. My question is what their radio strategy will be… 1

My question is what their radio strategy will be… I have a good feeling that Crush is going to do everything in its power to make this a hit, which hopefully means good radio adds. JOYRIDE picked up on pop after a while too. I agree the long game is definitely what they're doing -- build hype in the spring, explode over the summer. 2 1
ChooseyLover Posted March 25 Posted March 25 It definitely sounds like a smash for the GP. She's so bold for going there! 2

I don't think Joyride was ever (primarily) meant to be a radio single— this has radio written all over it. 4
AlbertoBouvier Posted March 25 Posted March 25 I just want K to get to the GP again, most of people don't even know she's still making music but they'd probably love it if they gave it a chance 4

bearman Posted March 25 Posted March 25 (edited) I love how she was teasing AG Cook, Hudmo and electronic synth pop but ended up serving Florida Georgia Line vibes for the lead. Oh ScamSha Edited March 25 by bearman 10
