Gen-Z's very own Dua Lipa, Miss. Lola Young, claps back at the hates after rumors that she is a nepo baby and industry plant. In a interview with Capital Buzz she touched on the topic calling the haters "losers that comment rubbish". She said:

I think there are cases of industry plants but so what? It doesn't mean they're not talented and it doesn't take away from anything. 

People are saying I'm a nepo baby because my great Aunt wrote The Gruffalo. I mean what kind of rubbish is that?"

 

The "Messy" songstress further defends her spot as the most captivating, hottest and youngest pop star out right now, denying she is a industry plant:

"I have so much to say on that which I can't even talk about. But I'm not a nepo baby, I'm not an industry plant, there we go I said it. 

I've cleared that up for all those losers that want to comment rubbish on the internet. Just find something better to do, you're sad, you're lonely. 

The thing is, industry plant is just a term for other artists and other people to use who just don't know what they're doing in life and feel upset that someone else is having their moment. 

And if you are an industry plant, you're not going to have your moment for that long, unfortunately. 

And maybe sometimes you will, it just doesn't matter, none of these things matter. If someone's got talent, then they've got talent."

Industry plant discourse is a nonsensical but her aunt is a multimillionaire lol. I don't think that means she shouldn't be able to have a music career but she obviously was advantaged by coming from a rich family with a relative who was already famous and well connected in the UK.

Imo there's no such thing as a nepo baby. Industry plant sure but nepo baby? It really depends 

 

Imo everyone's mother or father who is well off can be considered one. And if you're comparing your life to a poor person's then we could classify you as a nepo baby too. Some people can't afford to go to uni and so are we going to say that anyone who went to uni is a nepo baby?

 

What exactly is the definition of a nepo baby? Someone's mother or father who's a famous actress or singer or who has connections? But all mothers and fathers have connections 

 

What qualifies as famous? If your parents has connections to a big bank because they worked there does that count as a nepo baby too?
