Bussea Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Glad that's it's being headlined by a queer artist Not Frankie booking that stage too iktr i hope he performs his rain on me cover
Katamari Posted March 21 Posted March 21 this is such an interesting lineup tbh the gay icons and gay meme acts 1
stevenisFADING Posted March 21 Posted March 21 last year's lineup was WAY better but i guess it's nice to have representation no matter how floppy they may be. (it should've been Chappell btw)
That Bad Eartha Posted March 21 Posted March 21 My guess is they had trouble booking this year compared to the last couple years because WorldPride in DC is taking up a larger chunk of the pool that other prides typically do. Hoping the free Friday show is an older act because I really enjoyed the blend they had recently of one current headliner and one legacy headliner (2023 was Carly Rae Jepsen/Grace Jones, 2024 was Janelle Monae/Kylie Minogue). But the vibes of this festival are pretty immaculate and they put on a good setup so I'll still go. Especially with the Knocks x Dragonette on the undercard. Chappell seems like an obvious pick on paper, but I think she's actually a bit too big right now to headline this and I'm a bit relieved she isn't because then it would have sold out right away and be overrun by her young straight female fans. 1
ShouldersSideways Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Meredith Marks billed above Frankie Grande... I know that's right. 2
Gossip_Boy Posted March 21 Posted March 21 (edited) I was gonna say at least they're booking queer entertainers and not straight republican white women unlike other pride events but then I saw Paris Hilton so…scratch that. Edited March 21 by Gossip_Boy 1
