But I did.

Expect her to sell a lot more than 200k and don't expect her to release soon, cause there would be more info

If Ed could only sell 243k 6 months ago, and digital sales have only fallen down, I don't see her doing much more than that... Maybe around the same as Ed, so not "a lot more" :toofunny2: Are you expecting a 300k+ opening, cause, sweety..........

Anyone thinking Taylor Swift could flop with her lead is delusional.

300k seems pretty likely, yeah. I would certainly be disappointed if she didn't do that.

I don't think anyone is saying it will flop.

the point being made was most all women have underperformed in the past period of time.  So depending on when she releases, and if she as well underperforms like all the other females, including Katy, which was a bit of a surprise to all, if Despacito sales hold up and it's near its radio peak, Twylor might not debut at number one.

i wouldn't  bet against her, but I most certainly wouldn't bet the house and car she will.

I also think, and it seems it is what is being said, we are strictly talking about debuting at number one, and not if the lead will hit number one. Despacito won't last forever, and Taylor is most likely to ascend to number one as Despacito falls.

theres just too much unknown to make a declared "it is so".  We don't know release date. We don't know if it's good and appealing to the GP. And we most certainly don't know how she will deal with epotify upon release.

somro blank declare she's going number one debut week seems a bit premature.

I just said the lead will go #1. Didn't say it will debut at #1, although debut week is of course the by far best chance to go #1.

Despacito is weakening :duca: and declining

Taylor just needs to release August 11/18

This.

It could go both ways, no one is certain for now how will she do, especially now that she'll be on Spotify (at least her singles). So, her sales might not be as powerful as they used to be.

They are still FAR behind in sales and radio... They need to catch up in those metric to beat Fonsi. As of now, Despacito has a 110M AI lead (using Kworb's numbers) and a ~70% lead in sales.

Everyone is forgetting that Taylor already failed to go #1 with a collaboration with one of the biggest pop boys of the moment, with a soundtrack of one of the highest grossing movies of the first quarter of the year, even when the song got popular appeal and was amazing.

Zayn has done terrible after Pillowtalk, it's mainly a Zayn song and the song is pretty horrible.

The success of that made me a lot more confident that her lead will go #1, but to each their own.

Shape of You was huge at the time. It would have gone number one near the end of SOY's reign.
