You was just speaking as if this is some sort of anomaly which it really isn't. If One Dance topped airplay on it's 6th or 7th that doesn't make much difference. What you're describing as so rare really isn't especially with how BB has put so much more weight on streaming. One Dance topped airplay in it's 3rd week at #1 See You Again after 6 weeks at #1 (while Bad Blood was #1 on the Hot 100) That is absolutely a huge difference and could very well make the difference in breaking Mariah's record and not breaking it.

Mariano Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 A lot of songs tend to be debuting at this number 4 position MR (tho it wasn't a debut, but yeah), CTTR, WT with streaming, it's really hard to go top 3 right away nowadays :X It's really annoying how different charts have been like if you compare every 5-10 years. Thus making it impossible to compare hits from before to hits from nowadays, let alone peaking positions and chart runs
PhreshDiamond Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 Does keeping a song on repeat still count all the plays towards the UK/US charts? Or you do you have to manually select a song each time for it to count

Find like a Wild Thoughts only playlist without over 100 hours or make your own.

JCON Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 RIHANNA IS GETTING THE #4 PEAK CURSE!!!! NOOOOOO In other great news, The Chainsmokers might finally get out of the top 10 in a few weeks,
lotus Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 I wish Bad Liar could go top 10 for at least one week

If Believer keeps its momentum it will linger for several weeks and leave Thunder to rot despite the push. But if you think about it Believer is probably gonna make top 20 YE because of how long it's charting. It's going top 10 but it already accumulated lots of chart points on its way there lol. Wild Thoughts for instance just flew up the charts. I want it to go top 5, BADLY lol but I see a Demons peak IDK why.

Shape of You (=) 6. HUMBLE. (=) 7. Believer (+4) 8. Congratulations (=) 9. Mask Off (-2) 10. Something Just Like This (-1) So Believer will eventually knock Shape of you out of the top 5. I guess Bieber or Chainsmokers keeps their record. Shape of you will still end up as the #1 song of 2017 so he won either way
