commander Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Also I think it's important to mention that white women benefited from these types of laws the most and ironically they were one of the main demographics who supported this clown. 10 1 1
Cain Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago ….he can just do that? Discrimination is legal now? This wasn't constitutionalized anywhere?? 1

But what about the white women for Kamala zoom which raised record amounts of money?

No. Democrats had a 60 seat majority one time in 2009 for like 2 months of Obamas presidency. That was the only chance. Other than getting rid of the filibuster which we didn't and I'm sure republicans are gonna do that soon. 2

Dreajae Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Dems did alot and have been fighting ignorance, racism and blatant hatred for roughly 200 years. Mind you not even Reagan thought to overturn the EEOC and he made it very clear who he didn't like. Tell your kin and Lords to take responsibility for being racist and only seeking to fill their pockets while subjugating anyone who isn't a straight white male with an $1 billion networth. Yall are shocked at how racist Trump is? We said it, they tried to use Kamalas slave ancestors against her so she couldn't be considered a whole human or citizen of the U.S to run for president. This is what many get for trying to "both parties are the same" every issue and tossing everything to the Dems despite an overwhelming majority voting to hurt others and deriding the Dems for not supporting one singular policy that they want over the other. 3 6

Valgorie Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago It's going to be 4 years of this, even more if Republicans win again in 2028. Which is very possible. I keep thinking, how will all these measures look like in practice?
Blade Runner Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The usuals in here fighting Democrats and Liberals. Same ones who told people both sides are the same lol They don't give a f+ck about anyone. A menace. 5

It's just too much for my brain to comprehend 58 minutes ago, SmittenCake said: I may be misunderstanding, but protections against hiring/employment discrimination are established by the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Equal Rights and Opportunity Commission, which enforces those protections in the workplace, also falls under that act, and wouldn't be disbanded without an act of Congress. Trump targeting this specific executive order (LBJ's EO 11246, which is specific to federal contractors and subcontractors) is a scary demonstration of his intentions. But, it does not remove the civil rights protections all workers (in any workplace) are entitled to, since that is codified law and has been for 60 years. Congress, not even now, is not overturning the CRA; even if all Republicans somehow got behind it there wouldn't be enough votes (and as backwards as this country is, going that far absolutely would be political suicide in most cases). Still, I'd imagine that this administration will likely reduce civil rights enforcement efforts, hence this new executive order. Edited 4 hours ago by Parachutes 1 4
