Chemist Posted Friday at 12:39 PM Posted Friday at 12:39 PM This is not hitting unfortunately I just miss Isaac
makeawish Posted Friday at 01:02 PM Posted Friday at 01:02 PM reminds me of a lot of folky mid 00s stuff like joanna newsom, final fantasy, early sufjan i'm a much harder sell on this kind of thing than i used to be but i've really taken to this straight away

This is great though. I love Georgia's vocals. Kinda need Jockstrap their second album ASAP..... Edited Friday at 04:24 PM by Pendulum 1

She did backing vocals on previous albums. 1
no_better Posted Friday at 06:52 PM Author Posted Friday at 06:52 PM Georgia said in an interview with fantano that she is giving her all to BC,NR right now, so definitely no new music from Jockstrap this year. I adore Forever Howlong, it took me few listens to ingest it as a whole (I liked/loved each track separately) but now I think the album has a great flow to it. The songwriting is really impressive - it is not easy to pull off a pop record with that much compositional oddness. My favourites right now are Mary and Two Horses
moonllum Posted Friday at 07:25 PM Posted Friday at 07:25 PM Two Horses is amazing. Also Nancy, what a great song.
IMadeYouReadThis Posted yesterday at 09:39 PM Posted yesterday at 09:39 PM Two Horses, For the Cold Country and Goodbye are 10/10. I feel like the second half is significantly better than the first in my initial listen but I'm really really impressed with this! Reminds me a lot more of their first album in parts which I was taken aback by, but I mean this in the best way. Will be having this on heavy rotation! 1
no_better Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago I agree that the second half (or rather songs 5-11) is impeccable. I also am really enjoying first four songs but Two Horses is where it really starts. The album definitely sounds much much better after a few listens, the dense instrumentalisation, layers, and pace changes require getting used to, but when it hits it becomes really addictive Currently, my ranking for their albums would be: AFUT Forever Howlong FTFT Live at Bush Hall
no_better Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago Also I went to signing with them last night in London and they are all suuuuch sweet people, it was so wholesome and I had a cute chat with Tyler and May about the song Mary
makeawish Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago it's funny cos i really liked it first listen, then i started noticing how proggy it is and i was more "ugh i have to make some effort with this" but having actually listened to it a couple more times i am really enjoying it again. its a real sit down listen, i'm keeping britney on for walking about atm and putting this on when i get back
bestfiction Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I haven't listened to them before but I've checked out some tracks from this album on my way to work and really enjoyed them, especially Two Horses. Didn't know that the lead singer of Jockstrap is in this band, and apparently taking the lead here as well. Will listen to it in its entirety
