I was there on the night of the rep. tour she brought him out. I was already living in hell being 3 rows from the back of the stadium due to my friends booking the cheapest tickets possible so imagine my distress, something that could've only been made worse by the appearance of the ginger devil, Ed, when she announced him to the stage. The crowd, or at least the locals erupted with cheers and ecstasy but I remained seated and silent.

In my country (Netherlands) he's way more legendary than Taylor Swift. He has loads of iconic hits and this year he still sells out two 50.000+ capacity stadiums more than 30 years into his career. Americans with their definition of local just because someone wasn't huge in your country

I dont personally like him and not trying to defend him, but he was actually on a legendary level in the UK/Australia + famous all over Europe and Latin America way before most people in those territories even knew who previusly-local country star Taylor Swift was. And a lot of nerve from AmericATRLrs to call him local while being convinced actually-local fads like Kanye, Jay-z or Janet Jackson are huge global forces

Well, his 'flop' status bought him a fancy mansion with multiple bedrooms in Beverly Hills (where he has been living for the past 20 years, decorated with gold discs on the walls).
 

Though his fame might not be internationally understood - his money is and I think you'll find that's one currency America does understand.

 

Without him Justin Timberlake would be a whole lot richer because there fanbases crossover and many people outside the U.S. when given the option - chose to spend their coins on Robbie - not Justin.
