That's not even a China vs. US thing, as it's clear the US does criminal things with user data. Sis, do you even know where your data is going on this site? If not, don't be concerned about the other sites. For why Americans like foreign platforms more than Western, is because foreign platforms tend to have a more left leaning community. There is also less algorithm bias that preferences to showcase right to centre leaning content. TikTok users had more freedom of speech to rally for progressive stances and to organise group protest against the American government. 4

Internet forums are scrapped by external bots, but they don't tend to volunteer their users' data the way that platforms from Meta do, for example. ATRL isn't a targeted-ad-factory. I don't get spammed with 600 Temu ads a second. So, I don't see any reason to be overtly concerned with this site considering it's a public platform that I actively participate in. TikTok, much like Twitter and Facebook and Instagram, is reliant on telemetry; ATRL is not. Social media platform apps are trash. Edited Tuesday at 01:49 PM by The7thStranger
Virgos Groove Posted Tuesday at 05:03 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:03 PM (edited) This is corny, but seeing Chinese and Americans interacting and getting to know each other past the New Cold War propaganda is so beautiful. It reminds me of Berliners reuniting after the wall fell, or when American and Soviet soldiers celebrated together in 1945. It's the kind of thing that makes the naive pacifist in me smile. Acuminatus Posted Tuesday at 05:16 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:16 PM https://www.advocate.com/news/what-is-rednote-tiktok-alternate#rebelltitem6 Quote What content is allowed on RedNote? TikTok refugees have already noted harsh restrictions on RedNote that have resulted in their content being removed or their accounts being suspended, including for mentioning LGBTQ+ identities or for women, wearing a slightly low-cut top. One TikTok user returned to the platform to share that she had bee banned from RedNote after posting a selfie with "a tiny bit of cleavage," and a separate video mentioning "trans plight." A Black user asked for help online after her selfie was removed — all for wearing a shirt in the same tone as her skin. The trad-wives on Tiktok would thrive on this new app
Relampago. Posted yesterday at 03:53 AM Posted yesterday at 03:53 AM I haven't been anti-China for about 7 years now after learning more about it, and this whole interaction with TikTok/Rednote is just making me love the Chinese people even more. If there haven't been enough reminders, our governments are ****ing trash but the people are not necessarily their government. 1

We're all so doomed lol I'm sorry but which Government has repeatedly veto'd a mandatory ceasefire between Palestine and Israel? Oh that's right AMERICA. Which country has been leading the charge in renewable and green energy? Oh my China all the while America has done everything in their power to make sure it's citizens live in third world poverty conditions with horrendous healthcare, predatory insurance agencies and dystopian water quality. At least China has tried to do better and help less powerful countries for free whilst AMERICA has left their own allies bonedry with no resources and a fresh sanction to make sure they stay in line. If you honestly think America is better than China, you are sadly mistaken. I don't even have to bring up the FREE Education, FREE Healthcare and FREE social services that China provides to not just their citizens but anyone in their borders. Face it, America is worse in everyway, hence why this great nation is never near the top ranks in positive national traits like living conditions, and level of education of citizens. You know what America ranks high in corruption and wage disparity. 1 2

You know what America ranks high in corruption and wage disparity. China has been supplying Latin American dictatorships (Venezuela and Nicaragua) with money, military equipments, and resources used to kill and repressed their populations (including brown people). Exactly like America does. Example of what's been for years going in my country pictured bellow: They can go to f+cking hell. But it doesn't fit certain agendas so I guess nobody gives a f+ck. China is an abusive, hypocritical government just like the US. Miss me with your propagandistic bullsh+t. Edited 4 hours ago by Blade Runner

The way this is unironically the average American's view on foreign policy: "If they take my data, they're gonna see a lot of xxx on there, they gon' judge me real bad!" nkfkjnk Her saying she want to find herself a little Chinese boyfriend... same sis!
