Elon Musk uses LA wildfires to stoke conspiracy theories
He downplayed the role of climate change, singling out individual female firefighters of color and lesbian firefighters for blame, including posting their names and faces.
Musk boosted an hour-long propaganda video by right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones that claimed the fires were "part of a larger globalist plot" to cause the collapse of the United States, replying simply, "True."
And he repeatedly amplified claims that the Los Angeles Fire Department's investments in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs cost lives by wasting money that could have been spent on disaster response, suggesting the destruction could have been mitigated if the department had retained more White men.
"DEI means people DIE," Musk said on X.  source

Elon is literally losing his mind and is spiraling out of control. What a disturbed individual. His timeline is filled with alt-right nonsense, Arab hate, climate denial, misogynoir, racism, lgbt propaganda. Im tired of it. And the only reason why he is doing it is to promote conservative parties so him and his billionaire buddies can get a tax break. Startegically pushing a right wing narrative to influence right wing policies that will favor his pockets. It shouldn't be allowed but alas. Thats why he is supporting Trump, supporting the Afd in Germany and also avidly against the Labour Party in the UK.

Reminder: electric vehicles were never going to be a meaningful solution to climate change; Elon Musk purchasing an electric car company for clout does not make him an important figure for the fight against climate change.

 

Elon Musk has never been a serious advocate to fighting climate change. It would make no sense to claim that when his other major effort is promoting (insane) ideas of how we can colonize Mars for when the day comes when Earth is uninhabitable.

Yeah, the only benefit I ever saw to electric cars was decreasing pollution in densely populated areas, but obviously the pollution is just displaced elsewhere. His opposition to high speed rail tells us all we need to know about his views on climate change
