Unfortunately, this is only because the sentencing is going to be even weaker than asking him nicely not to do it again.

Everyone's going to learn what an unconditional discharge is tomorrow. I'm still shocked the SC didn't intervene though.

This would have a different outcome if the sentencing was expected to be fair
